First bad experience with Wingstop unfortunately, so had to share review. Food ordered over $50. First thing that rubbed me a little wrong was when picking up order I asked for a ranch (given that for 30 wings it only came with 3 dipping sauces), but the guy was like "sure that'll be $1.50". I was a bit surprised and a little annoyed given how much I just spent, but hey whatever, I guess it comes out of his check, so paid and moved on.
When loading food in car I decided to at least check that I had the right number of containers, but never opened each one to confirm the contents matched what I ordered (not something I thought I needed to do - in hindsight that was a bad mistake).
Drive home with food and when opening containers, noticed that one one container with the flavor of wings didn't match the quantity I paid for - should have been 16 lemon pepper but there were only 10 (checked other containers, but no luck - sure enough I was shorted 6 wings).
Call up to the store explained that I drove home and opened containers I was short 6 wings of which I had paid. Phone was then passed to who turned out to be the same guy being stingy with the ranch from when I picked up. I again repeated the problem a couple times until he was clear on that fact I didn't get what I paid for and was told by the guy I could: 1. Get a refund or 2. They would prepare the missing food and I could come pick it up in 10 minutes. I asked wife and we decided to go with option 2 and she volunteered to go pick up the missing 6 wings.
She gets home 30 minutes or so later very frustrated saying that we might not ever go back to this Wingstop or any Wingstop for that matter because after going back to the store, she simply asked the same guy for, you guessed it, a ranch dipping sauce, and he said to a co-worker to ring her up for $1.50 for a ranch. This incensed my wife and she said so you mean to tell me that you all messed up our order we paid for and we drove all the way back up here due to your error and I can't get a ranch to go with the food. And this dude said yeah, I'm only giving you what you paid for. No apologies, no empathy, no trying to be customer service focused. Just treated my wife like whatever, you don't matter.
It's a real shame. My wife told him, don't worry about your ranch and left upset at how uncaring and rude this dude was. Her thoughts were mine in that I'm sure they drop more containers of ranch in the course of a day than what we were asking for and was it too much to ask for the inconvenience.
BTW this was Thursday June 25th, 2026 around 3pm ET for whoever that runs this place can know who was in charge/managing the store that date and time.
Probably won't be back to this location (16118 NC Hwy 50 N, Garner) and it's a shame because it's closer to me. Have had much better customer service experiences at the other Wingstop locations in the vicinity - Hwy 401 (8215 Fayetteville Rd, Raleigh) and in White Oak (51 Cabela Dr, Garner).
