- FWFree World3 days ago1.0My experience at Tropical Smoothie on Sunday, May 17th around 6:00 PM was extremely disappointing. My group stood at the register for several minutes without being acknowledged or greeted by anyone on staff. After waiting, we finally spoke up and mentioned that it would’ve been nice to at least be greeted. One employee looked up and asked, “You guys haven’t been talked to yet?” We said no, and she immediately put her head back down and continued working without apologizing or acknowledging us further. Another employee then came to the register and still did not greet us. She simply started pressing buttons on the register. We again mentioned that it would’ve been nice to be greeted, and there was still no response. The interaction felt cold, dismissive, and unwelcoming from start to finish. Eventually she asked, “Would you guys want to order after that?” I then asked her, “How are you today?” She responded, “Good. What can I get for you?” without once asking how we were or attempting to reset the interaction professionally. At that point, we decided to leave. We genuinely wanted smoothies, but we did not feel comfortable having our food or drinks prepared by people who clearly did not want to interact with customers. We’re not leaving this review to be rude — we simply believe customers should at least be acknowledged and treated respectfully when they walk into an establishment. Hopefully management addresses this with the team that was working around 6 PM on Sunday, May 17th.
