- YYYoussefJun 3, 20261.01 Star I am honestly shocked by what happened during my visit. I ordered two burgers and fries, and while eating my fries I found a hair in them. I was disgusted, especially because I had already eaten some of the food. I understand mistakes happen, and I wasn’t looking to make a huge issue out of it. When I went back to the counter, I was initially told that only the fries would be replaced. I explained that I wanted the entire meal replaced because the fries were contaminated with a hair. To be clear, I never claimed there was hair in the burgers, and the burgers had not even been touched yet. My concern was that if hair made it into part of the meal, I no longer felt comfortable eating any of it. The manager told me they could not replace the burgers because I hadn’t checked them for hair. I found that response both ironic and concerning. Why would a customer be expected to inspect every item in their meal for hair before eating it? After some discussion, the manager eventually agreed to replace the meal. The employees throughout the process were extremely kind, respectful, and understanding. Unfortunately, the manager made what was already an unpleasant situation significantly worse. Because of how this was handled, I will not be returning to this location. The employees deserve better leadership than what I experienced during this visit.

Does Five Guys offer gluten-free options?
The only products we offer that contain gluten are our buns, hot dogs (Canada only), HP sauce (UK only), and the malt vinegar condiment for our fries. In Canada, our Poutine Gravy condiment also contains gluten. All of our sandwiches, including burgers, hot dogs and the veggie sandwich, are available without a bun via our wrap or bowls.

Why does Five Guys have peanuts for free?
Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.
What is the best way to reheat leftover fries?
Leftover fries are excellent reheated in the oven (or Air Fryer). According to Chad Murrell, one of the Five Guys, just pop them in a 350-degree oven for about 10-15 minutes.
Also, give those leftover fries a try as hash browns, home fries, or even as the filling in an omelet.
