So there is another BBQ restaurant in Durham and its Woody's BBQ. I used to eat this franchise in Florida for over 10 years and now Durham has one. Just found it today and was not disappointed. The food arrived at my table hot and ready to eat. The food was delicious and how I remembered it from Florida. Hey Durham County let's get by these folks and support them with their dreams. I know that I will be a regular. Keep up the good work.

Let me tell you something, if you want great BBQ this is where you need to go! I mean you smell thats its going to be good as soon as you walk in. This is my 4th or 5th time eating here and its been awesome every single time. The person whom I think might be the owner (im not sure) is super friendly every time im in there and even remembered that I like the sweeter style sauce. And dont even get me started on the collard greens, I could go on for days about them. The only complaint that I have about the spare ribs I got today is that they were so good I couldn't put them down long enough to eat anything else

Ordered online and went to pickup. Store was closed for a grand opening the next door. I guess they forgot to turn their online off. The first time I called lady rude and nasty. Not very helpful. The second time I called, saying call your bank. Not very helpful at all. Will never go there again. Customer service on the phone is horrible

Let me start by saying that I was very excited to try Woody's BBQ. I was really looking forward to having a good BBQ spot fairly close to the house.
I walked in and was greated by a friendly person, they were on their phone when I walked in but hey I get it, you are slow might as well talk to someone while you wait for some customers. I was the only person in the restaurant and was eager to order.
I started to order the pulled pork, and the young lady informed me that they were out. I then asked if there was anything else they were out of, she said fried okra. Ok cool, you sell out from time to time. But when you are a BBQ spot and you sell out of pulled pork before dinner, seems like quantities should be adjusted.
I ordered the Carolina BBQ, with corn nuggets and sweet potato fries.
I have found that most places in North Carolina don't have good luck with brisket. I went against my better judgement and decided to give it a try anyway. What a mistake, it was so dry I couldn't even eat it. I ordered the baked beans on the recommendation of the server and the Mac and cheese.
(Double check to make sure everything makes it into your order) I did not.
I noticed when she was going through my order she didn't say anything about my beans, she quickly went to the back and added them to my bags. Unfortunately I didn't check all of it and my Mac and cheese was left out. The baked beans were ok and appear to have some of the extremely dry brisket mixed in. I understand that mistakes happen, that said in the time I was there there were only two orders and mine was missing items.
I did try the smoked wings which the server said was one of their best items. They like the other meat items I got they were dry, not terrible but could have certainly been better.
My take based on this experience, if you like dry brisket, dry Carolina BBQ, and dry wings this might be your spot. The sides were just ok, there was nothing that stood out
The portions size for the price is also terrible in my opinion. For 2 small meat plates, and two desserts my bill was 60 dollars and change. Not to mention I didn't get everything I paid for.

The food was horrible barbecue was too spicy. The smoke inside the building was unbearable. I thought the food was overpriced. I think a tree of oak Grove was about $8 I could go to the grocery store and get a bag of okra I have that price. My granddaughter got wings she did say those were okay. But the rest of the foods I couldn't even give the barbecue to my dogs because it was too hot and too salty. I visited the restaurant during the first opening week probably too soon. I didn't enjoy the unprofessionalism of the staff someone was making a comment that they were getting ready to get off work and they were looking for their brisket and hope nobody gave it to a customer. This is not on one of my list to return to.
