I had a really good experience here today! I ordered two chicken tacos and two chicken quesadillas, and everything was delicious and tasted very fresh. The restaurant was clean and quiet, which made the experience even better. Yami and Ery were the ones who helped me, and they were both very kind and friendly. I really enjoyed my visit and would definitely come back! :)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Taco Number Juan is a great place with amazing customer service! The General Manager, Ery, and his wife, Yami, are both wonderful people. Every time I’ve visited and they’ve been there, they’ve shown true professionalism, respect, and excellent customer service. They genuinely make you feel welcomed and valued as a customer. I highly recommend Taco Number Juan to everyone in Durham and even to people outside the area. Definitely a place worth visiting!

Middle of the road tacos. Relatively expensive for the quality of the food and what you get. We paid $40 for two drinks, four tacos, and queso/chips. Extra chips were $2.99, which was annoying because the first basket we got was mostly broken, tiny pieces. They’ve done a good job making the space feel less like a former fast food restaurant, but it still feels like an old Wendy’s. The choice to keep the drive thru is odd. Vegetarian taco selection is lacking. Only three types of tacos are $2 on Tuesdays (all meat), and only if you eat in. We went late on a Tuesday night, and the interior was pretty dirty — napkins and food scraps left on the floor and tables. Salsa bar was low and lacked variety, and the cut limes had browned. Overall, okay tacos, and they’re open late if you need something in a pinch.

Did a carry out order, got two chicken tacos, two fish tacos, two asada tacos, a side of queso, eggrolls and birria ramen. It was all extremely mid, if you’re in a pinch I’m sure this is fine, but to my partner and I the food was flavorless and the tortillas weren’t great, we threw most of it out. It was as if someone who hasn’t tasted authentic mexican food tried to open a Mexican restaurant. The fish in the tacos was REALLY fishy and tasted off, not sure if the oil was old. The service was really slow, the front of house staff looked like they couldn’t be bothered. Definitely wouldn’t come back based on our experience.
