  It’s my first time here and I’m definitely coming back. The pork chops are on point, the collars and fries are probably the best I’ve had since I’ve been in North Carolina.

  This restaurant is SOUL FOOD at it's best! It was absolutely delicious. I had the mixed cabbage & collards, Mac&Cheese & Fried Whiting Fish - It was the BEST!! Allen, who took our order was energetic, warm, smiling and served us with a welcoming attitude. This was our first time visiting and we were not disappointed. The facility was clean and the overall experience was one that I would recommend to others.

  Just visited their location on S.Miami Blvd and waa greeted by Alan!! Explained this was a first time visit, and he patiently went over the menu and helped with my order!! He was very personable ,helpful to other customer, with a pleasant attitude and the wait for my food was not long!! I appreciated the pleasant, helpful service and will definitely be back!! #supportingblackbusinesses!!❤️

  What’s not to big-up! The customer serv is A+ They want u to be happy w your order, come back again and again, and to share your experience w fam & friends. My partner was already in the know through Grubhub ordering; I’m late to the party. We enjoyed an early dinner there before we off on an extended wkend of camping. Let’s Eat Soul Food was exactly what we needed before our adventure! Compliments of the owner (I think he’s the owner) and the chef (his Aunt), I sampled my partner’s recommendation, chicken dumplings. Didn’t even know I liked chicken dumplings, I always pass on them up based on a disappointing childhood experience. After another complimentary sample of the saucy chicken wings I landed on that for my entree w fried okra Mac and cheese and lima beans & corn. Partner had the hamburger w rice and gravy steak (he says everything that he’s had is just like his folks used to cook in rural MS). Def will be back as the flavors and seasonings reminds me of family reunions in Durham and parts of rural NC as well. Next time Imma try a dessert or two. I know where we r headed this wkend for at least 1 dinner!
