  I tried to get an MVP card while in the checkout line. There was no one behind me and it was a quiet evening in the store. The cashier snapped at me that if I wanted to get an MVP card, I needed to sign up before going through check out with my items. At any other grocery store I have been with a membership card, they allow me to sign up right in line and give me the discounts on my items on that day. I am highly disappointed in my experience. I had to overpay by a LOT due to her inflexibility. Please reach me in order to resolve this experience, otherwise I will advise ALL of my friends and family in the Research Triangle metro area to avoid Food Lion.

  This store is closer to my house so I often go there for a few things, however the employees attitude sucks. They act like we owe them something for entering the store, when in reality without people buying groceries or shopping at that local store, they wouldn't be in business. Today was my last straw with the self-checkout team with just being rude and giving nasty looks. They don't even speak. If they don't want to work customer service, then they should go find somewhere else to work. I can say that the black manager with the short haircut that be there during early mornings, is the only pleasant one. The black tall loud lady that normally is over self checkout is just rude and nasty towards females, but always grining in the men customer face.
