Four stars for this Food Lion, which I have never actually entered in my life. I've lived within 15 minutes of this place for 13 years and driven past it countless times. I've probably circled it on all three surrounding roads more times than I can count. And yet, I've never gone inside. Why? Because this store is simply too conveniently located. It's smack dab in the middle of three massive roads, forming a triangle of traffic that I am convinced will eventually consume me if I attempt to enter the parking lot. There's such a thing as being too convenient. Sometimes I don't want to fight for my life just to buy a gallon of milk. I have tremendous respect for anyone who successfully navigates their way into this place, does their shopping, and makes it home alive. The parking lot looks nice from the outside, though, and I generally like Food Lion. Also, completely unrelated, I still laugh at the idea of someone mistaking a Food Lion for a place that sells lion chops. Imagine going in for groceries and discovering the exotic meat department. Anyway, four stars. The parking lot looks great. The store might be wonderful. I'll let you know if I ever survive the journey inside.

Staff is nice. Issue is they recently renovated the store and whoever was in charge put in those stupid self checkout registers. If you want me to checkout my groceries, then it needs to come with a discount (on top of MVP card). I waited at the checkout counter for a few minutes while 2 or 3 employees stood by the self checkout. I'm assuming some bean counter in corporate or the management has told them not to check people out in the morning to force them to check themselves out. This is not how to run a business. Hopefully they bring back the good customer service they used to have, or I may just go elsewhere.
