  Top 2 ribeyes I’ve ever had and the sea bass was amazing also! Taylor and Richard at the bar were fun and welcomed us to this nice little spot for dinner!

  Over priced for the selection. Not one thing on the menu said yes eat me. Room so dark you can't read. Plus not ADA friendly. Timing on the food the be out together for our table was off. I had the burger. By the time I finished, her shrimp and grits finally showed up. Wait staff on point. The kitchen can do better. Dust on the back of the bench seats.

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ TAYLOR SAVED THE DAY!! Duckworth’s Cellar is one of my must-stop places every time I’m in Charlotte, and today reminded me exactly why! TAYLOR behind the bar was AMAZING! Her service, attitude, and energy completely elevated my experience. After a long day, she was exactly what I needed—friendly, attentive, and serving up drinks with a GOLDEN HAND! 🍸✨ Seriously, ASK FOR TAYLOR! And can we talk about that candied jalapeño bacon?! 🔥🥓 REALLY, REALLY GOOD!! Great food, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ drinks, an awesome atmosphere, and the perfect place to unwind after a long day. Duckworth’s Cellar never disappoints, but Taylor absolutely saved the day today! Give that woman her flowers! 🌸👏🏾 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  I cannot say enough good things about this establishment. Absolutely outstanding food (best steak in Charlotte, and I’ve tried them all). The truffle mac and waffle cones are among my favorites, as well. I highly recommend the Where There’s Smoke peach marg. We go here anytime we are seeing a show at the Blumenthal, as well as for other special occasions - probably about 5-6 times a year. In fact, we take the same group or ~16 each year in June, and they are always so accommodating. Love this place!

  I took my mom here for her birthday, and unfortunately, what should have been a special experience started with a very disappointing interaction at the host stand. My mom had been looking forward to this visit for days. She is very detail-oriented, so she called ahead to confirm our reservation and specifically confirmed that it was for a party of three. We arrived at 5:50 p.m. for our 6:00 p.m. reservation, only to be told that the reservation was listed for two people. What was even more concerning was that several other parties with 6:00 p.m. reservations were seated before us, despite the fact that we had arrived first. We ultimately did not get seated until approximately 6:25 p.m. We understand that delays can happen, but the way the situation was handled by the host made us feel unwelcome and as though we were being treated differently. I want to be very honest about how this interaction made us feel. I could not help but question whether our treatment had anything to do with our ethnicity. I am not making an accusation without knowing the host's intentions, but the experience and the difference in how we appeared to be treated compared with other guests left us uncomfortable and concerned. No guest should have to wonder whether they are being treated differently because of their ethnicity. Thankfully, our server, Shelly, was phenomenal. She provided excellent service and helped turn the experience around once we were seated. We also chose not to raise our concerns with management until after our meal because we did not want there to be any perception that we were complaining in hopes of having our bill comped. We simply wanted to share our experience honestly and give management an opportunity to address it. I sincerely hope this is taken as a learning and coaching opportunity. The host is the first point of contact for guests, and that role is incredibly important. Guests should feel welcomed, respected, and treated fairly from the moment they walk through the door. I hope management will have a meaningful conversation with the host(Hun***) about professionalism, hospitality, and the importance of recognizing how our actions and body language can make guests feel—particularly when those guests may already be questioning whether they are being treated differently because of their ethnicity. My intention in sharing this is not to attack anyone. It is to bring attention to an experience that should not happen and hopefully encourage better treatment for every guest moving forward.
