  This Was A Very Friendly; Peaceful Environment. The Fish, Fries, & Onion Rings (Burnt) Were Old (Not Fresh) Possibly Re-cooked; Dried Out.

  Just a big scam. They advertised $4 off the salad. When you get there, they say the ad is no longer valid. This is the second time this has happened. We have been coming here for the past 20 years, but we will no longer be regulars. I spoke to a female manager at the store via phone when a cashier called her and asked her a question about a coupon on the app, and she told me that they can't honor the coupon because there is a problem with the app. Can such a large restaurant group not take care of their app to avoid such an issue?

  Eastway Showmars Location Dear Showmars Customer Service, I have been a loyal Showmars customer for over 30 years and have always enjoyed the food and service, especially at the East Boulevard location. Unfortunately, my recent experience at the Eastway location was very disappointing. When I placed my order, the young lady at the counter was very polite and friendly. However, after I left, I realized my order was incomplete. My side items were missing, and both my veggie burger and beef burger were made incorrectly. I returned to the restaurant to have the order corrected. Instead of simply addressing the mistakes, the manager responded with what I felt was an unnecessarily dismissive attitude. She insisted the food had been made correctly, even though it clearly was not. The staff eventually corrected both burgers, but the interaction was unpleasant. Partway through the conversation, another mail customer approached and told me, "Don't disrespect the ladies." I was not being disrespectful; I was responding to the attitude I had received. To document the interaction, I began recording, and he immediately started recording me as well while making what I perceived to be threatening comments about violence. I did not provoke him, and although I stood my ground, the situation fortunately did not escalate further. Once my order was corrected, I thanked the staff and left. This experience was completely unlike the service I have come to expect from Showmars over the past three decades. I hope you will review the professionalism and customer service at the Eastway location, as no customer should feel uncomfortable or intimidated while trying to have an incorrect order fixed. I remain a fan of Showmars and will continue visiting the East Boulevard location, but based on this experience, I do not plan to return to the Eastway restaurant.
