Kazoku Ramen Bar in South End, Charlotte is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is awesome vibrant, sleek, and exceptionally clean.
I ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry, and it completely blew me away. The very first bite instantly transported me back to my time living in Okinawa, Japan. The curry was rich, fragrant, and deeply comforting, paired with perfectly crispy katsu.
To make the experience even better, the service was top-notch. Our server, Benjamin, was fantastic attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal.
If you are looking for incredible food, great vibes, and stellar service, Kazoku is a must-visit. Highly recommended, and I can't wait to come back!

Un rico lugar, en videos de tik tok se mira grande, pero en realidad las mejores meses son reservadas y eso, lo sabes solo llegando al lugar, pero tiene una temática bien hecha, por otra parte la comida fue 10/10 fui con 6 personas por primera vez y salieron muy felices de ahí.
AMAZING!!! i’ve been wanting to come here for a while and i’m so glad i finally made time for it. the kazoku bun is the best i’ve had in charlotte. chashu don was seasoned to perfection. wagyu mazemen was the star of the show - worth every single penny!! our server, benjamin, was sweet and easy to talk to, although service was a little bit slow. still, i will absolutely be coming back and recommending this place to everyone i know!!!
I come here often to order same ramen. Smelt char from noodles and broth. I told them how it tasted burnt essentially. They got defensive immediately. I know they make it all in one big pot just also inform them if anyone reports later. They did nothing about it but gaslight me that’s how it’s suppose to taste although I come here often to order this exact ramen. Didn’t want to compensate in any form or way. It’s ok. Just thought be good to inform the public on this place can be great when you cooked correctly but can be terrible customer service if anything goes wrong. The customer service never been good even beforehand the waitress since been coming here has always been the same and she is rude. I just enjoyed before because the food was cooked correctly and I came with friends. However, They charge even hot sauce separately and no refills on drinks which never been an issue but just an example of how they are stingy and will not take responsibility for any thing. Felt bad brought my husband to try for the first time and even he said he noticed right away. Unfortunate experience but they lost my business.
Very disappointing experience. I came in for ramen and asked for a booth. I was told there was one booth available, but they needed to save it in case a party of three came in, so I was seated at a regular table.
A few minutes later, I noticed two booths with parties of two who were finishing up and paying. I asked the manager, Hann, if we could move to a booth once one became available, and he said yes. As we were getting up to move, however, he made a rude comment about how once you’re seated, you can’t move.
What made the situation even more frustrating was that shortly afterward, another couple came in and was seated in a booth.
The overall atmosphere was also very uncomfortable. The vibe felt negative, and the employees appeared uncomfortable and hesitant around the manager. There was very little communication, and the whole experience just felt awkward.
For me, it wasn’t really about the booth. It was about the inconsistent treatment and the way the situation was handled. If you’re going to tell a customer that a booth needs to be saved for a party of three, then shortly afterward seat a couple there, that’s understandably frustrating.
I won’t be returning. If you’re looking for ramen, I’d recommend checking out Sheng Ramen instead. The prices are better, the staff is friendly, and the overall vibe is much more welcoming.
Unfortunately, this restaurant left a very bad impression.
