  A friend and I visited Oak for dinner on October 1st, and unfortunately, the overall experience fell short of expectations. We each ordered a medium-well steak, along with a cocktail and a glass of wine. Despite the restaurant and bar being practically empty, our drinks didn’t arrive until the same time as our steaks. While the food was good and our server provided good service, the delay from the bar was disappointing. For a restaurant of this caliber, I would expect better timing and efficiency, especially on such a slow evening. Although there were some positives to our visit, the overall experience left much to be desired. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending Oak to others.   Very good! We dined here to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant gifted us a candle and also provided complimentary Oysters Rockefeller as an appetizer. To start we ordered the Parker Rolls with whipped honey butter. The tops were crusty- maybe a bit overcooked - but the inside was delicious especially with the whipped butter. We ordered the Steak Frites, T-Bone, Macaroni and Cheese, and Green Beans. Both steaks were cooked perfectly, but the fries weren’t crispy. Both sides ordered were good, but the Green Beans were our favorite - firm, not overcooked and just a bit spicy. For dessert we shared the Cornbread Bread Pudding. The dessert was unusual but delicious. Would dine here again!

  I came here because of a recommendation. I expected great service and great food because it’s an upscale restaurant but it was FAR from that. From customer service to the food everything was terrible. The only thing that was good was the host. Our waitress had an attitude and the food was cold with no flavor. First and LAST time I’ll eat here.

  The service was great; they reached out prior to our arrival asking if we were celebrating anything in particular (a birthday). We ended up getting a complementary piece of cake and a small gift which was a nice touch. The food was good; I enjoyed my filet with the truffle butter topper and cocktail. Finally, the atmosphere felt more corporate than the Charleston location.
