  I would not recommend this place to anyone. The chicken was consistently dry and bland. The Alfredo sauce was gritty and tasted nothing like any alfredo sauce ive ever tasted in my entire life it was terrible. The fried ravioli was also bland and had more fried breading than anything else. The red sauce tasted like mashed watered down tomatoes and the only reason I hadnt tried to refund that was because I did unfortunately eat most of it. (Wish I wouldve saved my appetite for somewhere else). Not to mention the garlic knots were hard and soggy at the same time. How does that even happen?? Kind of impressive that you can mess up garlic knots that bad. The atmosphere is almost sad with how bare and empty it is in there. The only thing I give 2 stars is service. Reason being, how easily i got a refund for the fettuccine alfredo. It’s almost like after she put it on the table she was expecting me to bring it back and complain and already had the screen ready to refund my money. Food was terrible, I dont know how or why it shows 4.2 stars online but it doesnt deserve the 4, and the .2 is VERY generous. If you like italian food this is NOT the place. This place disrespects italian food.

  Yeah just...don't. waited 45 minutes for a slice of pizza and a Ceasar salad. When I finally got it, my slice of pizza was a MESS. Cheese totally off. Slice fell apart in half in the box. Just not worth it. UPDATE: The Ceasar salad with chicken tastes fishy. Idk what they're doing in there but yikes.

  I ordered chicken tikka pizza today , it was very oily. Literally too much oil was dripping from each slice. The chicken also has a foul taste and smell which is very concerning.

  Arrived on a Friday evening, empty restaurant. Approached counter, greeted staff and one employee immediately answered the phone with no response back. Other employee comes to counter, she makes eye contact, I greet her. She instead talks to her coworker on the phone. I say hello again, met with blank stare. I inquire about an item from the online menu that isn’t listed on the torn and frayed menu taped to the counter. “The website is not updated.” Left and will not return, fairly obvious why it’s empty.

  Angel, the manager, is terrible. Her first words when I asked about how to redeem a gift voucher “don’t ask me, I just make the food”… what a “professional” manager. Zero accountability and literally pushed her own employees out of the way so she could speak nasty to my father and I. I also want to commend the cashier at the time, she was visibly uncomfortable with how her manager was acting but just stayed to the side and was very nice to us afterwards and even came into the dining area to ask us if we had any allergies. Horrible service and every single price online is a lie. I’ve attached a picture of the actual menu where every item is $5-6 more expensive. The website also has items that don’t exist, even though you can pay for them and buy them, and when you come to pick them up, the workers either force you to pay extra (after already paying online) or they don’t give you your food. For example, a small pizza online is $11.99. You can buy it and pay for it online. When you come in to pick it up, they say they don’t sell small pizzas and you have to pay $16.99 for a medium in store or they won’t give you your food. I asked if this was normal and the manager, Angel, came up angrily into my face, pushing her own cashier out of the way to explain that they are not required to honor anything they have listed online. She insisted that they are allowed to demand extra money on top of what customers pay online, something that the other cashier didn’t seem comfortable with. The entire incident is on camera as it happened at the front counter. This incident happened Friday May 8 around 7:30pm, a time where every other restaurant in Charlotte is packed, and we were the only ones in here the entire 25 minutes it took to make our food. Never coming back, so sorry we ever decided to even try this place. Ballantyne is full of amazing places, especially Italian, this is NOT one of them.
