The food was so good and the young lady that waited on us was extremely pleasant, so much so that I had to go back for a second time the very next day!

We have always loved Johnny Bruscos up until today. While finishing up our food they let someone come in with a big dog and sat them by the kitchen. 2 staff members were petting and touching the dog then continued to work. It was obvious that it wasn’t a service dog and the manager should have spoke up and told them to go on the patio. So unsanitary on so many levels.

My husband Rob and I were just telling our friend Susan about this place we visited yesterday, and we had such wonderful service that she suggested I leave a review so here I am! We recently moved to the Huntersville area and have been trying different local restaurants to see what’s around. We actually heard about this place from a lovely lady we met at the Harris Teeter grocery who said she dines here often, so we decided to give it a try. From the moment we walked in, we were seated almost immediately, which was very nice since the restaurant was quite busy. Our waitress came over right away, greeted us with a warm smile, introduced herself, and went over the specials in such a cheerful and welcoming way. We mentioned it was our first time dining there, and she kindly sat with us for a moment and helped guide us through the menu based on what we liked. We also asked about portion sizes because we weren’t sure, and she immediately suggested that my husband Rob and I share a calzone. I didn’t even know restaurants still did that! The last place we went to actually charged a fee for sharing, so this was such a pleasant surprise. She also split our chef salad for us and brought separate dressings without us even needing to ask. My friend ordered a slice of pizza and a salad as well and said everything was delicious. Her husband had a pepperoni calzone and his only complaint was that it had “too much pepperoni” can you believe that? Our server checked on us often, and the gentleman at the bar also made sure we were taken care of and had such a friendly smile and offered us another beer. Everyone we encountered was genuinely kind. The table next to us mentioned they were regulars and said the entire staff is always wonderful. We ended up placing a togo order for wings after they recommended them, and they were absolutely phenomenal…even the leftovers were just as good. Before we left, our server suggested we try the pasta, pizzas, and highly recommended the cheesecake and lemon cake for our next visit. She even helped us sign up for the rewards program so we can earn points for free food! We left completely full, very happy, and honestly impressed. We haven’t had service this good in a very long time. The food was great, but what will bring us back is the incredible hospitality from the young lady who took care of us. She was just the sweetest thing so humble when we complimented her, and she gave all the credit right back to her team, said they all work together to make it such a lovely experience. I do wish I could remember her name, but she had the most darling pair of eyeglasses, and she mentioned she had worked in education at one point. My daughter is a teacher as well, so that little connection just made her even more special to us. My only little complaint would be that it was a bit loud, but there was a game on at the table next to us so that was perfectly understandable. Our table was also a little higher than I personally prefer, but I did notice some shorter tables on our way out so we may just request one of those next time. Hopefully we’ll also be lucky enough to get the same waitress again! We can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu snd the desserts she recommended.

Whether you live nearby or are simply passing through the area and need a bite -- this is the spot. Food: you can throw a dart at the menu and your tastebuds will be thoroughly tantalized. Apps to salads to wings, sandwiches, and of course pizza -- your palate will be pleased. Can't comment on the desserts (been on a diet for a few decades now, thanks for asking) Environment: the regulars are quick to welcome you and chat you up, and the overall vibe is energetic and lively. Service: Everyone from servers, chefs, bartenders, and To Go folks are all the *perfect* amount of friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive -- which clearly comes from management and ownership. The owner Al genuinely cares about the restaurant, the customers, and most importantly his team. See ya there -- just don't sit next to the very attractive woman loudly cheering for the NY Giants!
