I've been to Indaco on a couple of dates and it's been great; however I decided to treat myself this evening so I could pay more attention to the food and service than my date, and it did not disappoint.
I started with a glass of Montepulciano, my go-to red at any Italian restaurant, and the Italian Salad; it was larger than a side salad, but not quite dinner salad sized. Perfectly dressed, it had a little bit of a spicy bite which I did not expect but was perfectly welcome with my red wine.
I switched to a wonderful cocktail with limoncello (which is made in-house), and moved on to the Polpette as my main course. The meatballs were perfectly cooked, with absolutely no dryness to speak of, with just the right amount of sauce. The sauce has a good flavor and was not too sweet, though after the spice of the salad it was maybe a little underwhelming. The cocktail drank easy, well balanced, without too much bitterness or spirit.
Dessert was an affogato with decaf espresso (sacrilege, I know!). The ice cream and coffee both were cleanly flavored, though the biscotti is maybe a step too far, overpowering the other flavors, but in no way "bad".
Overall, this is definitely one of the more enjoyable meals I've had in Charlotte without breaking the bank (although I wouldn't call it inexpensive either). The atmosphere is on the modern romantic side, though maybe a little noisy if you're looking for more intimacy. Seated at the bar, Hannah was a wonderful guide with great knowledge of the menu (and control of the cocktail menu). Parking can be on the more difficult side for Charlotte, but worth it; I highly recommend
My sister and I went to Indaco on Saturday night to celebrate her birthday, and overall we had a really good experience.
Our waitress, Keira, was absolutely wonderful. She was so attentive, friendly, and smiley the entire night. You could genuinely tell she enjoyed her job, and that made such a difference in our experience.
We started with the burrata appetizer, which was decent, although the bread-to-burrata ratio was a little interesting. For our entrees, we both ordered the elevated carbonara pasta (I can’t remember the exact name). It was such a unique dish and tasted extremely authentic. I also loved that all of their food is made in-house — it makes the experience feel extra special and fun.
We sat outside, and the atmosphere was gorgeous. It was peaceful, not noisy at all, and honestly the perfect setting for a birthday dinner.
To end the evening, they brought out a lemon cake with blueberry compote for my sister’s birthday, and it was SO delicious. The presentation was beautiful, and more importantly, they truly made her feel special, which I really appreciated.
Overall, it was a lovely experience. Thank you, Indaco!
I’ve been here maybe four times over the course of about 2 years and every time the food is incredible and never disappoints, the drinks are great too and you can tell the bartenders are truly great at what they do.
The service has always been spot on, I’ve never had to wait even without a reservation, and once we were so caught up in the atmosphere and enjoying our drinks that we hadn’t even noticed our meal took “a little long”, and they brought us free salad and appetizers, and let us know they waived our drink tab.
Last night we went back and our server Adam was so great! He had just the right level of hospitality and brought such a great vibe and energy to our table. Adam made it a memorable experience in the most simple ways. So glad to have Indaco so close by, it’s a staple for us now.

Stopped in for a quick brunch and ordered the steak and eggs so I could eat and leave quickly. The steak came out undercooked, so they took it back — then it took another 30 minutes to return while people who sat after me got their food first. The manager explained they had to restart the steak after overcooking it, which I understood, but after that wait the steak was still dry /chewy and disappointing. For a $40 meal, I expected much better service and at least some effort to make up for the inconvenience.

We came here to celebrate two birthdays and it honestly couldn’t have been a more perfect experience. From the moment we sat down, the staff went above and beyond to make it feel special. They had the sweetest little surprises waiting at the table, each one thoughtfully tailored to the birthday people in a way that felt personal, not generic. It was a small touch that made a huge impact and really showed how much they care.
On top of that, the food was incredible. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with attention to detail. Every dish that came out was better than the last.
Between the amazing service, the thoughtful birthday touches, and the delicious food, this place truly stands out. We left feeling celebrated, full, and already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend for any special occasion.
