  0 stars if I could this is a store that should close!!!! Margaret and Toni are both rude, old, and incompetent — exactly why there should be an age limit for working. If you cannot respect customers and be helpful, you should not be employed. As a customer, I should not have to be met with attitude, wait for them to finish their personal banter before ringing up customers, or deal with rude remarks like “you can’t speak,” as if I’m not a patron of the establishment. This is a key indicator of a lack of management, training, and understanding of what Food Lion’s values are. On top of that, it’s honestly insane that I went through a cashier checkout and still had the cart lock, then had to have my receipt checked item by item, making the entire shopping experience even longer than it had to be. I needed 5 items — it should not have taken almost 30 minutes because the staff has no sense of urgency. They all just want to beat the clock and have a good time, with no understanding of what the store’s goals are or what the purpose of their role is.

  When I was working around this area in Charlotte I enjoyed shopping in this particular Food Lion’s is extremely clean and popular in the neighborhood! I love this company because it helps Students and Single mothers and single fathers getting a good job. I believe in this company the prices are great specially with the price of the gas and so many financial issues for the middle class and poor people and homeless families in our community in North Carolina. Food lion help us with opportunities for a job for my son from high school and college. They helped so many high school students and college graduates in the Universities in North Carolina! They donated to the love and fishes all the time. Thank you so much! You making America proud again!!
