  The food was 'fine' for the price. We were there ona CLT FC game day. It was challenging as the DJ pointed the speakers directly outside. Loud enough to the point that we needed to have a conversation with our waiter twice and another member of staff before the volume could be reduced. We weren't able to have a conversation at a normal tone or without repeating ourselves several times.

  I have been to Dos Caminos several times for work and team dinners and have previously had good experiences. Because of those past experiences, I didn’t hesitate to make a reservation for a large party on a Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m., several weeks in advance. Unfortunately, this visit was a completely different experience. When we arrived, the restaurant was as busy as I have ever seen it. We were seated at a table directly alongside the center of the bar, where the bar was 3–4 people deep and overflowing into our table and chairs. It was so loud that we could barely hear each other. I immediately went to the hostess and asked if we could be moved. She told me there were no other options and said she would ask the people at the bar to move away. That didn’t happen, and it quickly became clear that there was no way our group could comfortably sit at that table. I went back to the hostess and asked to speak with a manager. The manager offered to move us to the patio, but we would have to sit at two separate tables. We agreed because the alternative was likely leaving the restaurant altogether. Once we got to the patio, I noticed that there were several large parties seated together in the back of the restaurant in a much quieter area. Considering that we had reserved a table several weeks in advance, it was extremely disappointing that our group couldn’t be accommodated in a suitable location. Unfortunately, the patio wasn’t much better. Luckily the weather was nice, but the music was blaring, making conversation difficult, and the service was dismal. We had to ask for virtually everything, including having our water refilled after our glasses had been empty for quite some time. Several drinks were forgotten altogether. After about 30 minutes, no one had asked if we wanted appetizers or were ready to order dinner, so we eventually had to flag down our waiter ourselves. We also had to track down the waiter when we were ready for the check. The one positive was that the food was good. However, it was not so exceptional that I am willing to overlook everything else. We had very reasonable expectations for a restaurant we had enjoyed in the past, especially given that we had planned ahead and made our reservation weeks in advance. Unfortunately, those expectations were not met at any point during the evening. The combination of the seating situation, noise, and extremely poor service made the entire experience disappointing. Dos Caminos has lost my trust and is officially out of my rotation.

  Showed up for lunch around 11:10 on a Saturday. We were their first customers of the day. They were able to seat us and accommodate us having a baby with us. Service was very prompt with water, salsa, and menus but were not rushed into making decisions. Everything came out quickly, our waitress was timely and personable. We order a lot of their apps and a couple of main dishes along with passion fruit margaritas, frozen. Which were great. The bacon wrapped shrimp had a great crunch and sauce. The taquitos had an elevated flavor from your traditional experience also with a flavorful sauce and lettuce. The empanadas had a great crunch and gave wonton vibes which I liked a lot. Everything is pretty pricey, being in uptown. So, I wouldn’t plan on an “affordable” meal. No complaints though from me and would come back.

La atención y complacencia fue + excelente 👌. Regresariamos y lo recomendariamos sin duda alguna. Gracias por su servicio! The service was exceptional, the food was delicious, the manager Andres had the courtesy to come to the tables and answer our questions in a very pleasant and respectful manner. The service and attentiveness were + excellent 👌. We would return and recommend it without a doubt. Thank you for your service!

  Overpriced for what you get. $5 for a can of soda, $25 for a mediocre taco salad with less than 2 oz of meat in it. Service was terrible, placed an order for pickup, arrived to get it, they said it would be 5 more minutes (even though I'd received the text it was ready). I ended up standing there for 20 more minutes but here is the kicker, because I'd walked there and was waiting longer then expected, my blood sugar started to drop & I was turning pale & sweating but not one employee there offered me a water or a place to sit. Customers seemed more concerned about me than the hostesses or staff, who seemed to be avoiding me because my order was taking so long. Think twice before going here....
