Dilworth Grille has been one of my go-to spots for years, and it never disappoints. Whether it’s dinner with friends, catching a game, or grabbing a late-night meal after a concert or event in Charlotte, it’s always a reliable choice. One of the biggest reasons I keep coming back is their late-night menu. It’s hard to find quality food served later in the evening, and Dilworth Grille consistently delivers. The menu has something for everyone, the portions are generous, and the food is always fresh and satisfying. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, and it’s one of those places that just feels dependable. If you’re looking for a great local restaurant with excellent food and one of the best late-night options in the area, Dilworth Grille is tough to beat. Highly recommend!

We went for the drag murder mystery show. We had a lot of fun. The food was good. Especially the hamburgers.

We made a reservation for 14 people to watch the World Cup Final and chose Dilworth Neighborhood Grille because they accepted our reservation. As a result, we gave up a guaranteed spot elsewhere. When we arrived, we were told they had overbooked and could no longer accommodate us. No one called or texted beforehand to let us know, leaving our group scrambling to find somewhere to watch one of the biggest sporting events of the year. Mistakes happen, especially on busy event days. What matters is how you respond. Unfortunately, manager Matt did nothing to remedy the situation. There was no sincere apology, no attempt to find a solution, and not even a small gesture of goodwill—no appetizers, drinks, discount, or any effort to make things right. Instead, the situation was handled with indifference. Overbooking is disappointing, but the complete lack of communication, accountability, and customer service is what made this experience unacceptable. I won’t be trusting a reservation here again.

Had a reservation for the World Cup final. Trusted the team to deliver. They failed 14 people, many of us paid for parking by the time we were told they over booked. If you have a reservation for an important event, I’d consider a restaurant/bar that has the dexterity to handle a busy day.

We made a reservation for 14 people to watch the World Cup Final, one of the biggest sporting events of the year. We specifically chose Dilworth Neighborhood Grille because they accepted our reservation, so we gave up a guaranteed spot at another bar. When our entire group arrived, we were told they had overbooked and could no longer accommodate us. Not once did anyone call or text beforehand to let us know there was an issue. Had they done so, we could have gone back to the other bar before it filled up. Instead, we were left scrambling minutes before kickoff with nowhere to watch the match. What made the experience even worse was the manager, Matt. Mistakes happen, especially on busy event days. But customer service is how you recover from those mistakes. Matt was dismissive, rude, and showed absolutely no remorse for putting our group in that position. There was no sincere apology, no attempt to make things right, and no acknowledgment that they had completely disrupted our plans. If your reservation isn’t actually going to be honored, then don’t take reservations in the first place. Overbooking is bad enough, but failing to communicate it in advance—and then treating customers as if it’s not a big deal—is unacceptable. We won’t be returning, and I would strongly caution anyone planning to reserve a table for a big event to have a backup plan, because a reservation here clearly doesn’t guarantee you’ll have a seat.
