7 people working but one guy is doing the board, cashier and restock. As I wait for the one guy reprep rice, I witness the mobile order cashier tell the guy who im assuming Is their friend she will make his stuff. I asked can not just have rice from that side as well and I was told "they're not allowed to". This place lacks proper management big time

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was extremely disappointing.
My order was made incorrectly because the wrong salsa was added. Instead of the salsa I requested, they put the red salsa, which is far too spicy for me. They had to throw the entire bowl away and remake it, wasting both time and food.
Then I ordered chips and guacamole. The chips were stale, so I politely let the employee know. Instead of replacing them with a fresh batch, she simply handed me another bag from the exact same batch, which was just as stale. They were honestly some of the worst chips I’ve ever had.
To make matters worse, I was charged for extra barbacoa that I never requested. The employee explained that it happened because they accidentally mixed up my bowl with someone else’s order, but I still shouldn’t have been charged for their mistake.
The customer service was just as disappointing as the food. The employee helping me barely spoke, seemed annoyed the entire time, and kept making faces instead of addressing my concerns professionally. No one there seemed interested in providing good service.
The restaurant itself was also dirty, with tables that hadn’t been cleaned. I understand that Chipotle can get very busy, but being busy shouldn’t mean poor customer service, incorrect orders, stale food, or an unclean restaurant.
Overall, this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a Chipotle, and I hope management takes these issues seriously.

Ordered online for a pick up order, several of the drinks on the fountain machine were out; got home and realized several items (bottled Mexican sprite, sides of salsa, queso) were missing. The app just wanted to give coupons for the next visit, but unlikely to return so truly just wanted a refund. Calling the actual store is next to impossible but finally got the automated system to patch us through, rang and rang and no answer. Called back, actually got an employee to answer. Just simply “hello?” then when we explained we were calling for a refund, he said to go on the app. We asked for a manager and then were hung up on. All of this plus sloppy food that was falling apart, missing toppings, and rude store employees makes this a never again for us. Chipotle used to be great but it is far too expensive for this quality of food and service.

I had a redeemable entrée on my app, so I stopped by this location a few weeks ago. The young woman who prepared part of my bowl was incredibly kind. I can't remember her name, but we briefly chatted about how I was in the area for my cancer research.
One of the reasons I continue to visit Chipotle is because I trust the quality of the ingredients and try to make thoughtful food choices. I also understand that when the restaurant gets busy, the staff can become overwhelmed.
However, it wasn't until I left the building that I noticed something that really shocked me. I walked accidentally towards the back of the building instead of the path to the parking lot. I was grossed out! I took pics and I hope management sees them.
I immediately tried calling the restaurant while I was on the road, but discovered there isn't a way to reach them.
I'm hoping the managers at this location see the photos attached to this review and address the outside cleanliness issues.
Unfortunately, this wasn't an isolated experience. Weeks later, I visited the Chipotle closer to our home in the Lake Norman area and was equally disappointed to see plenty of employees while the dining room had clearly been neglected.
I asked for a district manager's phone number to share my feedback about the disturbing “outside outback pics,” of the Waverly location and called twice, but both calls went to voicemail.
At this point, I hope someone from corporate sees this review .
As a side note, my husband told me he has stopped visiting Chipotle because he feels the restaurants are no longer as clean as they once were. He said he has noticed people putting the gloves on before washing and the dining room is just not monitored.
I sincerely hope Chipotle returns to the high standards that built its reputation. Great ingredients deserve a clean, well-maintained environment, and customers deserve a dining room that reflects the quality the brand promises.
Happy Exploring,

Just picked up a takeout order salad, chicken was full of grizzle, vegetables were blazing hot could not eat, tore up my stomach later, only ate 1/3 of it, had a bad experience at another chipotle a few weeks ago and gave it another try at waverly. I won’t be back.
