Absolutely phenomenal food with reasonable prices. As a local who works nearby they’ve instantly become my go to stop for anything and all Asian cuisine. Especially while chapel hill lacks a decent Thai food spot, while Myanmar borders Thailand they share many common dishes and a spice culture that any spicy Thai enthusiast craves. Ordering the goat curry was an amazing experience aside from half of the menu I’ve already tried within the past several months alone. Definitely a go to spot when visiting Franklin! Food aside, the employees there are very kind and catering to anybody that comes in. Here’s hoping for a permanent future this place may hold on Franklin!

Road to Myanmar is the only Burmese restaurant in North Carolina. Last night was our first visit. I went in with reasonable expectations, thinking it would be pretty good based on it's excellent reviews, but it was fantastic - I mean, it was the kind of good that means you are plotting your return before you've hit the exit. The menu reminds me a lot of the Malaysian restaurants I've visited - but it also has some unique Burmese dishes I've never tried before (or even heard of).
Our server was Wah and she was a delight - giving us several on point menu suggestions and providing lots of helpful information. Please go support this restaurant. Even though it's absolutely excellent and clean as a whistle, restaurants on Franklin Street struggle when students are gone over the summer. This one is a gem - let's not lose it!

We love Burmese food and used to eat it a lot in California, and I was so glad to find a Burmese restaurant in Chapel Hill and to find that it is so good! The Tea Leaf salad, noodles, Myanmar tea, dessert of coconut sticky rice banana are all excellent excellent excellent, my daughter also loved it. We can't wait to come back.

Simply the best, most authentic Thai and Burmese I’ve had in the Triangle and such excellent, “above and beyond”service. We had the Pad Grapao and Mohinga - both the best we’ve tasted outside of Southeast Asia!! And super generous portions. Will be back with friends!
