  A staple of Cary, Udupi Cafe has been my go-to Indian restaurant in Cary for over 20 years. Excellent food, a very friendly owner, and—having spent a year in Bangalore—the food is like being back in southern India. (With some other regions mixed in, and well done.) It is not easy times for unique, cherished restaurants like these. Go rediscover this little restaurant. Yes, it feels a bit dated inside, but great food and an open family atmosphere and kind, friendly management prove why it’s such a mainstay of the area: It’s REALLY GOOD.

  I go here for sugarcane juice and badam milk. The sugarcane is freshly made infront of you while you wait. The drinks are amazing. The dosa is also very good.

  ​I visited this Udipi restaurant for the first time recently. While the food itself was okay, the service left a lot to be desired, especially since the restaurant was not busy at the time. ​A few points regarding our experience: ​Timing of Orders: We specifically requested our food and coffee to be served together. Unfortunately, the food arrived first, and the coffee didn't come out until much later. ​Rushed Atmosphere: Despite the lack of a crowd, our waiter seemed to be in a major hurry. He attempted to clear away our coffee and plates while they were still half-full and we were clearly still eating. ​The Check & Gratuity: We felt quite pressured when the check was brought over before we had finished our meal. The waiter stayed at the table to point out where to leave the tip and waited there to see the amount while we were still mid-bite. ​It was an uncomfortable way to end the meal. I hope the management can work on pacing the service better, as it’s hard to enjoy the food when you feel like you're being pushed out the door.

  Food was not good, We ordered 6 butter nan with paneer tikka, Nan was not taste good and it was look like ready to serve purchased nan from grocery store normaly available in indian grocery store at the rate about 5 to 7 $ per packet of 6 piece , they charge 29$ for 6 piece Butter nan, It was realy not good and totaly waste of money
