- TATammy AnnApr 25, 20263.0We ended up at McDonald’s because that’s what my grandson wanted, and let’s be honest, kids are going to pick those chicken nuggets every time. The food? It’s fast food. It’s not fabulous, but it does the job when you’ve got a happy kid. Here’s where it got a little frustrating… The whole ordering process is set up through the kiosk. It clearly tells you to take a number, have a seat, and they’ll bring your food out to you. Sounds simple enough, right? Yeah… not so much. They didn’t bring the food out at all. Instead, everything was just sitting at the mobile pick-up area. No announcement, no direction, nothing. We only figured it out because other customers told us we had to go up and grab it ourselves. On top of that, we selected “dine in,” and everything still came out in to-go bags. Again, not the end of the world, but it just adds to the disconnect. Look, I’m not expecting a five-star dining experience, it’s McDonald’s. But if you’re going to have a system and give instructions, at least follow through or update the process so customers aren’t left guessing. Overall, it’s exactly what you’d expect from a fast food spot… just with a little extra confusion thrown in.
