  I thought I was walking into your typical Mexican restaurant. Traditional dishes served, I had a slight suspicion that there was a Baja California influence, which it's not the case, just fresh Mexican food. Definitely will be swinging by here when I'm in the area in the future!

  We were really excited about trying out the food here. We had seen a creator try it out on social media. For starters we got the complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was very unseasoned, alongside the chips, very mediocre. I ordered a house margarita as they had a special going on, I really look forward to a good margarita on the rocks, this one left lots to the imagination, it was very watered down tasted like sour mix and bad tequila, would not recommend stick to a beer. We also got an order of the Frida Rolls, these were actually super good! Highly recommend. For entree I got the Birria Tacos, this is where things went downhill. The food itself was okay, birria was slightly dry and consome was slightly cold, but besides that it was okay. On the menu however, it says it comes with a choice of either Rice or Beans (ill attach a photo down below). When receiving the check, we were charged for a side of rice. When asked about it and showing the staff the menu, they were very dismissive of our concerns, and argued with us over there menu, when clearly birria tacos are listed under the description, we were still charged for the rice, and not much else was offered, no sorry for the inconvenience nothing. It really made the experience unpleasant, and I don't think we will be returning. They definitely have a lot of kinks to work out. Overall, the food was just okay, the one drink I had was bleh, service was obviously not great. Atmosphere was good!

  We had a great experience at Kahlovera Bar & Grill which was an impromptu stop to get some quick lunch! I got the Vaquero Omelette, and it was absolutely delicious - flavorful, spicy, and packed with great taste. Definitely something I would order again. Their $9.99 lunch specials Monday through Friday until 3 PM are also a fantastic deal, especially for such good Mexican food. We also tried the vegetarian enchiladas, and they were delicious too. Cynthia (apologies if I got the spelling wrong!) took great care of us. The service was quick, friendly, and welcoming. Great food, great value, and great service. Highly recommend giving this place a try if you’re in Cary! We’ll definitely be back.

  It was a warm Friday evening. We heard about this New Mexican restaurant in Cary and decided to check it out. Upon entering we were impressed by the decor. Were sat right away. Pros: corn appetizer is very well done. Burrito was very delicious, got the kids a vegetarian one and it was quite filling and tasted amazing(will go back for the other burritos). The birria tacos and fish taco was great too. Cons: salsa that they give everyone is not great, it had no flavor. The margarita was extra watered down and had no taste. Ambiance was a little random, odd music choices, 4 TVs with different things on and banzai tree plant on our table. Overall I give this place a 3, would do 3.5 if an option was there. Regardless will go back as the stuff that was good was very good.

  This is more of a 3.5, I'll start with the pros: our server was very friendly and attentive. The decor was pretty inside and it was very clean inside as well. My viva Mexico enchiladas were very good and tasteful. It came with 3 different sauces on top of my chicken enchiladas and came with rice and beans. The cons: they just got their liquor license and was running a $1.99 house margarita special for the weekend only , the margarita sucked it tasted mainly like sour mix and they used the worse of the worse house tequila to put in there. The salsa and chips were very bland as well ,we ordered cheese dip to make it better. They are also located in a strip mall so there restaurant doesn't stand out it's very easy to pass by. It's also very small inside so no more than like 32 people can dine in there. Not sure how long this place will last there.
