Hear ye, hear ye! Upon my noble travels through the fair town of Cary, North Carolina, I found myself weary from the road and in dire need of victuals. Lo and behold, I came upon the mighty K38 Mexican Grill, where I was welcomed into their humble hall and presented with a feast most worthy of a traveling knight! But the true treasure of this establishment was not merely the food, nor the ale, nor the fine surroundings… 'Twas Maiden Lexi of Cary who tended my table! By the saints and the sword, what a marvelous maiden she was! Her service was swift, her spirit was bright, and her hospitality could warm even the coldest heart of a knight returning from battle. She treated this weary traveler as though I were royalty of the realm! Thus, I, Sir Lanc-a-Lot, do hereby proclaim: K38 Mexican Grill hath earned a place among the finest taverns of Cary, and Maiden Lexi is a champion of hospitality! Should thy travels ever carry thee through Cary, seek out this establishment and pray that Maiden Lexi be there to serve thee. ⚔️ Five stars, five shields, and one very satisfied knight! 🏰🌮 — Sir Lanc-a-Lot, Knight Errant & Conqueror of Hunger :::

We came here for lunch and got the ACP, shrimp quesadilla, and both sides of beans. The ACP was great and the quesadilla was fine, but both beans sides lacked flavor. There was a large variety of hot sauces available, but they were all either extremely hot or very sweet (does ghost pepper blueberry sound good with Mexican food?). It felt a little expensive for the quality, so we will likely be dining at another Mexican restaurant next time.

We went with a group of 5. The lunch was ok. Service was good and atmosphere is fine. The food was disappointing. The recommended and seemingly signature fish tacos were...boring. 2 people at our table ordered them and came to the same conclusion. There was an elote dip that was uninspired. It was lacking savoriness or acidity. At the end the one things folks enjoyed was the rice and beans. Thats good, however that hints that the entrees and other parts were not particularly interesting. All this to say, nothing was bad per se. But there are lots of other options and legitimate mexican food with far more flavor out there.

Found out about K38 when I was going to college in Wilmington and it was my favorite Mexican spot. Was very sad after moving to the triangle area and not having anything near as good until now! K38 is hands down the best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever had, especially having a Baja fusion twist. Food is always fresh, hot, great portions, and worth the price. MUST TRY’S: Tres Amigos for appetizer, Grilled Chicken ACP or Salsa Verde Pulled Chicken Chimichanga for main course. Chicken is so flavorful, ACP has a ton of cheese, plus the tres amigos gives you three of the best dips (queso, guac, & elote) to try.

What a great addition to Cary's growing downtown area. K38 Baja Grill is quickly becoming a go-to spot for my wife and I. It's Mexican food with a California twist and a surfing vibe that gives off an inviting laid-back feel. I'll eventually try other menu items, but so far I've stuck with the aptly named Tacos in a Beach Blanket. It's two hard shell tacos -- one beef and one chicken -- wrapped in a grilled soft tortilla and topped with lettuce, queso, a yogurt ranch sauce and a salsa fresca that packs a little kick. It comes with the choice of rice or beans ... and I got an ear of Mexican street corn to add to a tasty, filling meal. My wife got the Birra Tacos, a combination of braised shreaded beef, Monterey Jack cheese and onions wrapped in grilled tortillas and covered in a spicy sauce and gave it an enthusiastic thumbs up, as did the neighbor who came with us and got the shrimp quesadilla. Although we didn't get anything but water to drink, there's a full service bar with a menu full of specialty drinks available. In addition to the great food, the service was great. Not only was our server attentive and efficient, but the manager came over to meet us and talk about more than just the food, making us feel as though we were truly valued as customers.
