  Visited on a Friday evening. I drove all the way from Greensboro for a Togo order because my favorite spot was closed. When I got home the first thing I noticed was the curry chicken was mostly bones, skin and very little meat. The curry sauce was good and the cabbage was excellent but I would have loved to have meat to fill up on and not just cabbage and curry sauce. Also the skin was on the chicken which made it a little oily. Skin on jerk chicken is fine but on curry chicken, which is more like a stew, it can make the curry sauce a little greasy or oily but regardless I didn’t get much chicken anyway. That was disappointing. I ordered two plates. One for dinner and one for lunch the next day. I ate the chicken from both plates to make a normal sized entree of chicken. I ate the leftover cabbage the next day. Nice place but I should not have had to wait 20 minutes inside for a pickup order that was ready when I got there and already paid for.

  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had my first visit to Dixon’s Jamaican Taste LLC and let me just say… the food was AMAZING 🔥🇯🇲 I ordered the Ultimate Pasta, and the flavor was on point. The barbecue chicken 😮‍🔥—seasoned just right. Everything smelled so good I couldn’t even wait. Now, I will say this—if you have a shrimp allergy like me, just be sure to ask about ingredients beforehand. I didn’t realize it came with shrimp, but that was on me for not asking. I removed it and still enjoyed the plate. 💯🍽️

  Just GO! Stopped by on a whim and it was so good. Flavor is excellent and portion sizes! I had the oxtail with rice and peas, cabbage and plantains and a fresh beetroot juice. All very very good.

  The beef patty was excellent; easily the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the rest didn’t meet that same standard. The jerk chicken tasted as if it had been cooked the day before, reheated, and then served hours later in the day. Aside from the red beans and rice, everything on my plate was at or below room temperature. The macaroni and fried plantains were not warm, and the jerk chicken was actually COLD to the touch. I placed my order online and arrived within eight minutes. My food was brought directly from the kitchen, so it’s disappointing that it wasn’t served hot or fresh. It’s especially unfortunate since this was my first time trying this restaurant, and the experience left the impression that the food is not freshly prepared.
