  Owners changed serving arrangement, and is no longer a buffet. Voiced my opinion, and one of the owner's sons response towards me was: "You're only one person, but a lot of people seem to like it." Well, thank you for your response, but a lot of people do not like it, and I am sorry that I told you the truth. Party of 4 did not enjoy it. Grow up! I'm a paying customer, and it's NOT my first time eating at this restaurant. I know your mother, and have been to events where they have catered. Shame on you for speaking to me in that manner, especially in front of elders! No corn bread, or biscuits with my meal -- Is this country cooking? Packed up my leftovers, and left them at the front counter, after I paid. Told hostess about her husband's rude comment, the poor girl couldn't look me in the eyes, because she felt ashamed. All she did is apologize. If you like pre-cooked food, kept warm served to you on a 10-inch styrofoam plate, you should definitely come to this restaurant. Unfortunately no one was impressed, nor did they enjoy the "new" arrangement. Actually, I was looking forward to having a nice dinner at this restaurant, as I previously had in the past, but it was a big disappointment. Thanks for offering dessert, which I always looked forward to having after a meal, when visiting. Very disappointed, and thought this family had manners, and class - I was very wrong. Been going there for years, but that is the last you will see of me. I always support family run businesses, but don't support dumb responses.

  We decided to take the 1-hour drive from Charlotte to come check this place out. Let me just say, we will be back again and again! Every person that worked there was so incredibly kind and welcoming. We were blown away because we had gotten used to the lack of service in Charlotte. The owners stopped by our table and chatted for a bit like we were long lost friends. It literally was like you just went to your family's house to eat. There was such a great variety of options on the buffet, and we loved the fact that it's served cafeteria style so people aren't digging all in the buffet. The price was very fair for what was offered. We can't wait to go back again! PS: good luck on getting the smoker going 🙂

  The food is delicious! This place was recommended by some friends and it was great! We got to go orders to eat later for dinner.The manager carried our dinners out to the car for us. We really enjoyed it.
