We love these tacos and x1000 love the green salsa! They always do a great job there and keep us coming back!
My first non five star review. I came here for years while I lived in Asheville. I returned for the tacos and nostalgia while visiting for Mother’s Day weekend. I ordered to go because I had a sick fussy newborn that would make dining in impossible. I walked in and there was a decent line. To the left of the register was a sign that read “Did you order to go? Please come to the front of the line” on a shelf that had a bunch of bags that were obviously the to go orders. I walked up and started eyeing the names on the bags to see if mine was ready. The young lady working the register snapped at me “Hey! You can’t just come up here and take stuff!” I replied, “Oh I just read the sign and thought..” she interjected “yea the sign says you can’t just take stuff” (it said what I wrote above, nothing more) then turned to the customer whose order she was taking and said “I’m sorry” in a tone that conveyed “Can you believe some people.” Another employee saw this unfolding and came up to smooth things over and told me other people have taken the wrong orders before. I said it was no problem and apologized and reiterated that I thought I was doing as the sign instructed. I have never experienced such rudeness and hostility in a service situation. Rarely have I experienced it in life in general. Good tacos though, two stars.
Local recommendation that I have been to a few times! Each time I have gotten something new and have been thoroughly surprised by the quality and flavor each time. The chips and salsa/queso/guac are always a good choice for an accompaniment. Looking forward to going back and trying something new next time.

Service was great but I’ve noticed several of the tacos have gotten considerably smaller. The Kirb Service taco in particular is less than 1/2 the previous size. I’ve noticed this on 3 separate occasions so it wasn’t luck of the draw. Won’t be back

I am a regular customer here and working lady in the trades - landscaping. As for ambiance, I really love the mural of the handsome guy in the backyard - a-a-a-nd standing on the picnic tables.
I’m a sensitive celiac type gluten-free with a four compartment stomach - and though the fryer isn’t gluten free, and I was raised vegetarian, somehow the Ya-a-rd Bird doesn’t bother me! Just knocks my little Vibrams off off every time! Just see me sitting there, eyes half closed, thinking: “Wow! I’m so glad to be alive!”
My other favorite gustatory celebrations are the the Goo-o-d Lovin’ ‘n Ma-a-a-ma’s Favorite.
But OH MY G-AA-AAAD: I had no idea how much I love PLANTAIN TORTILLAS! I put everything on em! And I buy the stacks of frozen ones too! In the morning with some eggs and kudzu?! What a treat! — I’m still breast-feeding and I will say, my little ones both tell me that when I eat them, my milk tastes sweet like plantains!! As the kids say: Lol!
Thursday five dollar frozen margaritas are also pretty baaaaad-ass [ — I know I know… breastfeeding don’t judge. I’m a grown lady and can make up my own mind thank-yew-very-much. ]
… munching on the paper napkins and posing for selfies among the rocks and in front of the rainbow fence… what more can you ask for?
Sending Mr. Billy A-a-a-all the Love!
