Fanastic experience!! The food was amazing! The staff were all friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us great advice for food and drinks. The regular mojito is the best I've had in a long time! Thank you!

A delicious and gluten free experience. Very fresh food and great service as well. I would highly recommend the fried rice with chicken dish, it was a big portion and tasted great. I will definitely return again in the future if I am in the area.

Wow such a great place! We stopped here on the way back to Georgia! A very cozy and cool Columbian restaurant! Our server, Kaylee ,was so nice and helpful with the menu! The food was delicious and they had a great local artist, Jay Brown ,playing soft guitar and harmonica! You can tell the owner takes pride in his food! It was delicious! I had a spinach and mushroom omelette! . David got an executive chicken lunch which was more like a dinner! We can’t wait to go back! We love N.C. !
Local Colombian restaurant tucked into the residential neighborhood of Mills Gap off Sweeten Creek Road serving fresh, made from scratch dishes.
We heard good reviews from some friends and decided to check it out. Google Maps delivered us to an assuming retail center which also hosts a vape shop and coffee shop. Don’t let the surroundings fool you into questioning a visit here. Once inside, you will find an engaging staff to greet you while dining in a funky Latin atmosphere (you might think you are in a nightclub or bar).
We had the opportunity to meet the owner and learned of his and restaurant’s history. The restaurant name is a nod to his father (“Juanchos would be considered a nickname in their culture) and the food of his heritage. They opened 3 weeks before Hurricane Helene and have been a restaurant that has survived the aftermath.
The menu is diverse and all gluten free, which was a big plus for me due to food allergies. They serve beer, cocktails, and mocktails (no wine). Their menu is accommodating to vegetarians (not clear on vegan options).
We decided to sample two traditional fish focused dishes and they were both amazing. The seafood is some of the best we have experienced in Asheville. The owner brought us some homemade sauces to try all of which were outstanding. I only wish they would bottle and sell their Chimichurri sauce. It was excellent. We should have saved room for dessert as they looked and sounded excellent.
If this restaurant was in downtown Asheville you probably would have a difficult time getting a reservation. Drop by to try it out as reservations are not required (a plus). We will be returning again.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Asheville and you MUST try this place! What makes a great local dining experience? When the owner welcomes you by opening the door for you and sets the tone for the entire evening. Juanchos has a great atmosphere with a great vibe, fun music, and everyone is always buzzing around smiling and laughing. It’s a comfort place, a happy place, and they serve amazing food that you think about for days after. Everything I’ve had on the menu has been spectacular. The tropical salad is delicious, the empanadas are excellent, the arroz con pollo will put you at ease, and the steak Saltado will make you feel like all of your problems are solved. The fries are always cooked perfectly and I highly recommend the habanero dipping sauce! Not super spicy, just enough for flavor. Everything is cooked to perfection with well balanced flavors that hit all the right notes. We sat at the bar this time for a quick meal and the bartender was so nice and attentive and entertaining. I can’t say enough about this place, the owner Jason, and the magicians in the kitchen! I had to write them a review. It’s a gem and we are lucky to have Colombian food like this in our beloved city. If you go, make sure you over order so you have leftovers. You can thank me later.
