    I stopped today to get a Chick-fil-A, the Merrimon location. When I pulled through there were two options to drive through for my order. There were some new signs: one said mobile through and one said drive-through, I wasn’t exactly sure what that meant so I picked the mobile through and turns out I was in the wrong lane to just order, it was for online orders. the girl at the ordering spot told me that I was in the wrong lane, and to please drive around again and get into this other lane. What? Really Chick -fil-A? I sat behind five cars before a young man asked me if I was all these different names, which of course I wasn’t. I hadn’t ordered online. I was just in the wrong lane. I explained this to him as I continued to sit behind a car that was told to pull up and wait for their order. I informed him that this drive-through was misleading, wasted my time, and was stupid. That I was frustrated because I just didn’t know what was happening. He explained to me that I needed to go to the website to understand it. I mentioned that I don’t go to the website. I drive down Merrimon Avenue, see the restaurant and I want to have dinner because I’ve had a long day at work and I’m hungry. I told him this double line l, different lines was stupid, and I was not driving around and getting into the line again and that I would not be eating there tonight. I was tired and their stupid system was stupid. Did I mention it was stupid?! It is a frustrating procedure and very poor customer service for those not using online ordering. I asked him to tell the owner, Joel, that his new drive through was a stupid idea. He told me to “have a nice day.” I have a feeling g he didn’t really mean it. If I had gone around I would have been in an 8 car line, after waiting in the 5 car line with a curb waiter on top. No thanks. That’s not a having a nice day after a long day of work, snarky chick-fil-A boy. I just wanted to warn everybody that this new drive through policy sucks. Joel knows already, I think. I left, went to Wendy’s and had my meal with great customer service, and no one asked me to drive around the building twice in order to get it. One star Joel, one star because your Chick-fil-A has always been great, until today.

    Going from two lines to one line in the drive-through so that you have a dedicated mobile order line is nonsense. It’s causing traffic to back up into the road and extending wait times while the other line has no vehicles in it.

    The new mobile app drive thru lane doesn't seem to be a well thought out idea ! You have taken 50% of your normal drive thru capacity away ,and if you get in the wrong lane you're told to go all the way back around the building after you wait in line with the rest of the cars ! My experience today was not good longest wait time ever !

    Do not go to Chick-fil-A on Merrimon Ave unless you want to have the best day of your life. Seriously—this was hands down one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had. Katelynn McElrath and Callie Owen absolutely made my day. They were not only incredibly kind and welcoming, but they went above and beyond in a way that felt genuine, not forced. You can tell they truly care about the people they’re serving. It’s rare to leave a fast food restaurant feeling this appreciated, but that’s exactly what happened. The food was great as always, but the real highlight was the people. Katelynn and Callie are the kind of employees every business wishes they had. I’ll definitely be back—and honestly, it’s because of them.
