  We moved back to Montana 5 years ago and I have been searching for an authentic Italian restaurant somewhere in Missoula or bitterroot Valley. I think I can say that I have found it! The food was great but the staff was amazing! Brooks sat us at the bar because we didn’t have a reservation and we got to see the whole operation work its magic. Everyone was amazing but I watched Brooks hustle his but off to insure every customer had the best possible experience they could. Food was great, customer service was amazing.

  The place is nice and the pizza is great. It had very few non-pork based options and of the two that were not pork based, one had sold out and it was only 7 pm. The menu is a bit underwhelming. I think the restaurant could do better considering that it’s run by a well known chef.

  Amazing food! Are party for each got different dishes and shared. Everyone agreed all four entrees were delicious and perfect. Flavor! Scrumptious! Beautifully presented! Service was great. Our server was attentive but never pushy. The one drawback? Seating against the wall or windows is uncomfortable at best. You were sitting on a piece of wood with no back support or padding. I am a medium built woman and sitting there for the dinner was very uncomfortable. Are guests also noted that the chairs were hard as well. It's the only reason that I did not give it five stars.

  We tried to go here for dinner tonight from Missoula. We got there at 4 since google said they were open. There was a couple in there eating. We were told they didn’t open until 4:30 and would have to leave and come back. My husband just had knee surgery and was on crutches. He asked to use the restroom and was awkwardly allowed. I stood outside. The couple inside said how rude that was and they could have said the kitchen was closed but have a glass of wine while you wait. The mood was ruined and we left.

  I have been working in Hamilton for a few months and the very first day I was in town, I tried Grano. Since the first day, I never willingly went anywhere else on a Monday. The food was just too good. I have tried nearly everything on their menu, and the only time I ever walked away sad, was today, my last Monday in town. The food was incredible as always. No place is perfect, and I will admit the service can be slow and the staff always seems to be in a hurry, but I believe it is because the people in Hamilton seem to realize just how good this place is, and I never once saw it anything but packed full of satisfied diners. The owner and the staff really do care about making the best food possible and I will be hard pressed to find another restaurant that makes getting up at one a.m. to drive four hours and then work for ten hours worth it every week. Thank you Grano for the amazing food and the wonderful time. I will be dreaming of the Tiramisu and hopefully will see you again soon.
