- EVEd VanekAug 16, 20262.0I go to Safeway in deer lodge almost every Sunday, that's when I go to town. This morning I was looking forward to my trip. Karen is usually the checker, and always makes me smile! This morning Trent was the checker, I'm 67 years old. He was the rudest, most disrespectful person I have ever dealt with in a retail setting. Next time I'm in, if he's the only checker, I'm leaving without spending a dime. Using the f word, telling me how lazy I am, for not knowing how to use the app. Every second of our interaction Was a incredibly negative experience. Especially when I was so much looking forward to the time I get to visit with Karen. Hope I never have to deal with Trent again!!!!!!

But there was a lovely gentleman who was amazing, welcoming and took time to do what every business should strive to do. "Hey good morning, how are you, can I help you find anything" That's what made the difference. The bar shouldn't be so low but he wasn't putting on a performance, he genuinely wanted to help and so shout out to the guy who restocks the produce. I wish I remembered his name. He's about 5'9 and kind of soft spoken. Heart of absolute gold 🤍
