I love Pizza Inn and I used to absolutely adore this particular spot. It’s cleaner than all of the other Pizza Inn’s, however, as time has progressed and a new staff has taken over, the quality has decreased. The buffet has limited pizza’s on it. They never put the soup out and I waited for 45 minutes just for the soup. I decided to leave when I realized, they’re not going to put it out. The guy who brings out the cart to take dishes away only clears off the empty tables. Hello, we’re sitting here at a tiny round table with 3 empty salad plates and napkins. We’d all like to get our pizza now. He literally walked past us 3 or 4 times before I took the empty plates and placed them on another table. The food here is very good, especially in comparison to the other Pizza Inn’s. Something about how they put that garlic butter on the crust makes the pizza better than others. I can’t give you guys a higher score because the options were limited, the staff didn’t really care, and I never got my soup. It’s still a great place to go but be mindful, this won’t be like going to Greenwood where it’s always full.

I was very disappointed with our recent visit to Pizza Inn in Winona on a Sunday afternoon around 4:00 PM. We placed an online order for a chocolate chip pizza and planned to pick it up on our way back home to Memphis. We don’t have a Pizza Inn close to where we live, so it’s always a fun treat to stop and get a chocolate chip pizza whenever we’re near one. This location used to be one of our favorites, which made the experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, I was disappointed as soon as I walked in. The restaurant was empty of customers, yet there appeared to be plenty of employees standing around while obvious cleaning and maintenance tasks were being neglected. The salad bar had remnants of food that needed to be cleaned up, the floors needed sweeping, tables needed wiping down, and supplies throughout the restaurant needed restocking. When I arrived, I was told my pizza would be another seven minutes (not a big deal - the online order said it wouldn’t be ready until a certain time). So I waited, watched an employee pull the pizza out, slide it into the box, and shake off the pizza slicer (like it had too much on it) and hand it to me. I should have checked the pizza then but I didn’t. After returning to my car, my husband asked for a drink, so I went back inside to purchase one. An employee looked directly at me, then went back to her phone and continued typing. I stood there waiting until a customer picking up a DoorDash order—who apparently knew the employee—got her attention and told her I needed help. After purchasing the drink, (they were out of to-go tops), I returned to my car and opened the pizza box. The pizza was essentially liquid. It was clearly undercooked and/or had too much dessert sauce on it. The cream topping had run throughout the box. I should have taken a picture because it was that bad. Beyond being poor quality, it was also a mess waiting to happen. Had I handed that box to one of my children to hold for even a moment, it could have spilled all over them and the car. The employee knew the condition of the pizza when it was handed to me, which made the situation even more frustrating. I walked back inside with the pizza. Again, no one acknowledged me or asked if I needed assistance when I walked in, and I eventually had to ask for help. Thankfully, a lady who had just started her shift stepped in. She was professional, apologized for the situation, and promptly processed a refund. She was the only bright spot in the entire experience. My biggest frustrations were: 1. The employee knew she handed me a poor-quality pizza that was not ready to be served. 2. The staff was inattentive and unhelpful, with the exception of the employee who assisted me at the end. 3. The restaurant was noticeably dirty and lacked basic upkeep. After receiving the refund, we decided to drive farther north to the Pizza Inn in Grenada and give it another try. The difference was night and day. Our pizza was ready before the promised time, the restaurant was clean, the employees were attentive and serving customers, and the overall experience reminded us why we have always enjoyed Pizza Inn. Unfortunately, the comparison only highlighted how poorly our experience in Winona was handled. In my opinion, this location needs better management and accountability. It’s sad to see how different it is from previous years. Pizza Inn in Winona used to be one of our favorite stops, but after this experience, they have lost our business.

One of the better pizza places in the area. The ingredients tasted fresh, the buffet stayed stocked even during busy hours, and the overall experience was enjoyable from start to finish. We’ll definitely be coming back again.

I’ve never left a bad review in my life, but the customer service at this establishment is terrible. They literally make you get up and leave. The hours online say 9pm. They ask you to leave at 8pm.

They will never answer the phone if it's 45 mins before closing. You can forget it for sure at 30 till close. Food is pretty good and atmosphere is pleasant. It really drives me bananas when a restaurant advertises a 9 pm close time, but they start closing at 8:00 or 8:15. That way they can leave the business at 9 pm, instead of taking orders till 9 pm and then do the necessary for cleaning and preparing for next day opening time.
