Our World Famous Huey burgers have been voted Best Burger in Memphis since 1984. - OOonyx1176Jul 5, 20263.0I visited on July 4th later on in the evening. It was very slow (hardly any customers) as I expected, as was the service, which made no sense. Almost everything I was served was cold or lukewarm, and the food was very expensive with much smaller portions than I remember when I used to visit more often. When I ordered, I asked for a side of fries without realizing it would cost $3.55. I received a portion of maybe 8–10 steak fries, which was a joke for an item that should have been included with the meal. The sausage and cheese plate was nearly $13 but only contained about 5–7 small pieces of sliced sausage, and the cheese had a synthetic texture that made me doubt if it was even real. When I ordered the brownie, they did not even include a full scoop of ice cream. The server was nice, so I tried to not complain too much, but I was highly disappointed about everything up to this point. I typically eat minimally processed organic foods and cook a lot from scratch but occasionally will visit a restaurant if the food is good. I should have stayed at home and cooked my own meal instead. I would have felt better about what I ate and not spent $45 on garbage, overly processed, bioengineered food. If I splurge on processed food, it needs to be worth my while and my money, and this was not.
