Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
I when in this morning and stood there about 4 to 5 minutes . Then holler not loud but loud enough that someone could hear of heard me. A lady on break got up and when back and told them I was standing out there waiting to have my order taken. Then still it took them 2 to 3 minutes to come out to take my order. I had tried to use the computer to order my food but it didn’t have the jalapeño cheddar biscuits option on it . And I told the lady she said it was because breakfast was about over. Dang computer I guess it has a mind of its own on. It changes the menu when it wants too. Then I mention the jalapeños cheddar biscuit again . Then she asks me what I want to order. I told her her the jalapeno cheddar biscuit and gravy combo. She didn’t say anything just placed the order and I paid and she walked away. A few minutes later I seen her come out from the back and I ask her if I could get my cup when she had a second. She just looked at me and turned around and went back in the back. Long story short I got a regular gravy biscuit and the biscuit had to be made last night the bottom was hard as a rock. I don’t think I will ever come back here.

Much like all others who have commented about this restaurant, it's the speed of the service. I ordered a chicken sandwich - just the sandwich, nothing else. There were 3 cars in line before me. From the time I ordered, pulled around and waited until I was first in line to pay, took roughly 5 minutes. It took a while for the cashier to actually come and take my money. About 2 more minutes elaspesd before she came out and asked me to pull forward to the white line. I asked how much longer, as I had already been at this "fast food" restaurant for more than 10 minutes from the time I pulled into the queue, and now being told that it'll be 6 more minutes, because they "dropped some fresh chicken for just for me". As I type this, I have waited for the 6 minutes that I was told, and the clock is still running. If I hadn't paid already, I would've left by now. It took an additional 5 minutes. When the worker brought it out, she asked "did they take too long?". 😑

Food was good, but service was very slow, she didn't give us napkins, straws or a receipt. She gave us back someone elses credit card, and didn't thank us for returning it. However, she did say "your welcome" when we thanked her.

The only reason it’s one star is because zero is not an option. The service is TERRIBLE the operating manager is even worse. I do not understand how a whataburger franchise can be run so poorly in such a nice town. We have given them several chance and it only get worse with each visit.if you are in Madison Ms go anywhere but this place!

Sad Sad Sad. When The young lady at the register was asked what is on the sweet and spicy burger her comment was “I don’t know know what’s on it, I just ring it up”. WOW! When ordering the limited time steakhouse burger she wanted to know what number it is, I showed her the menu and she said “there’s no number it must be a junior, I showed her again and she said it has to be a junior, I told her never mind, she said “it’s too late I rang it up,”. Not going back as it appears no one knows how to train the team and who knows what we would have gotten. Real sad actually.
