Jimmy John’s has always had great sandwiches, but the customer service I received this morning deserves its own recognition.
I was actually the first customer in the store when they opened today, and there were three gentlemen working. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the name of the gentleman who helped me, but hopefully they’ll know exactly who I’m talking about when I say he’s the one who doesn’t believe jam belongs with peanut butter OR on a sausage biscuit! 😂
He was absolutely outstanding. Super friendly, genuinely pleasant, funny, and just easy to talk to. It wasn’t forced or scripted customer service either — he just seemed like a genuinely good person who enjoys interacting with people. That kind of energy makes a difference.
He’s exactly the type of employee I would want representing my business if I owned one. Great customer service is becoming harder and harder to find, so when somebody gets it right, they deserve to be recognized.
And yes, the sandwich was fantastic as always!
I have NEVER in my life left a $20 tip at Jimmy John’s, but this gentleman absolutely deserved every bit of it — and then some. Please make sure he gets some recognition. He made my morning.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. ABSOLUTE TRASH SERVICE.
Avoid this dumpster fire of a location at all costs. This was my third terrible experience here and it is officially the last.Pull up at 6:10 PM during the prime dinner rush, nearly three hours before their 9:00 PM close, and sit trapped in the drive thru for TWENTY MINUTES. The kicker? There was exactly ONE car ahead of me.Thinking they might be severely understaffed, I actually got out of my car to check the lobby. Nope. The front doors were locked tight, and I could literally see multiple employees inside just standing around, talking, and actively avoiding work.I walked back to the intercom and asked point blank if they were closed. "No, sir." When I asked why the doors were locked during business hours while they all hung out inside, I just got a pathetic chorus of nervous, stuttering excuses. They clearly locked the doors early so they would not have to serve anyone. I used to love these sandwiches, but the sheer laziness and awful management at this location completely ruined it. Go literally anywhere else if you actually want to eat tonight.

my husband visited Jimmy John’s one month ago. while in the drive thru, the employee told him that he needed to swipe his card again because it did not go through the first time. he sat in the drive thru for 15 minutes waiting on his card back. when the employee came to the window, he said the entire JJs credit card system was down and if he did not have cash, he would need to give the food back. so not only did he have to give food back that was in his possession/car (IN THE MIDDLE OF COVID), he was also asked to give his drink back, that he had already drank out of. after my husband stated he drank out of the drink, they allowed him to keep it. keep in mind, it is an error on their part. not my husbands.
as if the scenario couldn’t be more absurd, we got charged TWICE for a meal he never received. we paid over $20 dollars for a drink. I have called the store about 7-8 times over the past month, with only one returned phone call. After being hung up on by the “general manager”, Mike, he has now told me that since they can’t find the charge on their end, its not up to them to fix it. Even though, we have the proof on our end on bank statements AND he says he remembers my husband in the drive thru that day. never once were we asked to come in to help settle this situation. I have also asked for the store owner to call me on three different occasions with zero returned phone call. Per Mike, “why haven’t you just disputed this with your bank, they would have given you your money back by now”
by far, the worst customer service we have ever received, especially the fact I got hung up on because Mike didn’t feel it was his obligation to right their wrong. I know we are all short employees and spread too thin, but that doesn’t give anyone the right to be rude, arrogant, and dismissive.
