First time trying 7 Brew, and it was a frustrating, awkward, and overpriced experience ($15 for two medium drinks).
Unprofessional Service: The drive-thru setup has employees taking orders outside. The girl taking ours kept yelling back and forth to another coworker. She actually interrupted me mid-order just to yell "man bun!" to get his attention for absolutely no reason (it felt like she was just flirting) and then told us a completely unprompted story about how she refuses to use his real name. It was weird and highly unprofessional. It made us feel uncomfortable.
Guilt-Trip Tipping: The payment process was just as awkward. The worker turned the kiosk screen to us and explicitly said they "make what servers do" to pressure us into leaving a tip. They then immediately flipped the screen back around to process the payment, so they see exactly what you tipped right in front of you. It felt manipulative.
Hidden Menus & Prices: There is zero pricing transparency. There are no prices on their website, and the drive-thru lacks a visible menu (it’s hidden on a small walk-up patio). You have no idea what items exist or what they cost until you're put on the spot. We asked for a frappe alternative and were suggested a "chiller". It’s a drink that isn't even listed on their site.
Upcharges & Completely Wrong Orders:
The Lemonade: We were hit with a surprise $1 upcharge just to have the drink blended.
The Macchiato: An absolute mess. I was charged for cold foam I never asked for, I was upcharged for caramel, and they used sugar-free caramel instead of regular, which I did ask for.
Ignored Modifications: I specifically requested light ice and light heavy cream. Instead, my cup was 70% ice and pure heavy cream with absolutely zero espresso flavor.
I see the 4.9-star rating on Google, and I understand others seem to have amazing experiences, but unfortunately, this was an awful one for me. I really wish I had just gone to Starbucks. I would have gotten exactly the drinks I wanted, with better service, for less money.
