  The new restaurant is a DELIGHT. Cute decor, endless pico, and the most helpful staff around. The food is, as always, delicious, hot, and authentic. This is our first visit to the new restaurant since it opened and we can’t wait to become regulars.

  Not too happy. Went there in person (yesterday) to order pork tamales to bring home. Ended up with dried out chicken tamales. Not happy spending over 30 dollars wasted. I tried calling them but phone was out of service,so I emailed and no response. Not good customer service

  Gilberto’s is our all time favorite place for authentic Mexican food in St. Cloud, MN. The portions are outstanding and the food is undeniably the greatest around! When you find a place that can make exquisite tamales, you will have found your place! Their new location is very nice, the staff is always wonderful, they are super FAST with orders and incredibly reasonable in price. If you haven’t tried Gilberto’s yet, you are missing out!

  Food was great, service was not very friendly and not all that helpful, but not rude or terrible. This was my first time using the app and I was not sure what to do, she was not helpful in answering my questions about how or where to pick up my food and just thrust a bag at me. I am not even sure if she thanked me. They were very busy and not rude but I at least expected someone to smile at me. No one made eye contact with me as I stood at the counter or greeted us which is also a big deal to me. But the food was amazing!

  They have gone downhill since they have moved. I’m aware there is a learning curve with a new location and more customers but with a price increase and quality decreasing it’s hard to justify going. We really only get the rolled tacos because we liked them and weren’t a fan of the other food and now since the relocation they are always burnt and the cheese isn’t even melted. Price went up on those as well as everything else. Plus the wait is insane. One time we ordered online and had to wait 45 minutes after it said it was ready because they said they prioritize drive thru. Ok whatever, we tried again today in the drive thru and it was about a 20 minute wait. Will probably not be back unless things change.
