  Dude working the counter has an attitude and the communication skills of a third grader. They also gave me the wrong sandwiches.

  Ordered at 11:50 AM and my food didn’t arrive until 1:20 PM. What happened to “freaky fast”? Waiting an hour and a half for a sandwich is absolutely ridiculous. The driver was nice, so no complaints there, but the sandwich wasn’t even that good when it finally showed up. If orders are running that far behind, at least communicate with customers. Sitting around wondering where my food is for 90 minutes is frustrating enough, but then getting a mediocre sandwich on top of it? Definitely not worth the wait. Very disappointing experience.

  This is my first ever visit to Minneapolis (and Minnesota as a whole!) and I was excited to experience the famous “Minnesota nice.” Unfortunately, my quick stop at Jimmy John’s in West End completely ruined that impression. I simply stopped in to ask for one plastic spoon since I was already walking by. The cashier, a woman with unprofessional green hair, immediately responded with a snarky comment saying she’s “not running a public charity” and that I couldn’t have a utensil without buying a sandwich. The way she spoke to me was incredibly rude and demeaning, as if I was some kind beggar on the streets coming in asking for a single spoon. There were plenty of ways she could have handled this professionally…even just saying, “I’m sorry, but utensils only come with the purchase of a sandwich” would have been perfectly fine. Instead, she chose to be sarcastic and disrespectful. Awful customer service and a terrible first impression of the city!
