The cheeseburger I ordered was good, but it was dominated by onions in a bad way. It didn’t have anything super exciting about it.
I ordered at the drive-thru speaker. I told them I had a coupon for Buy-1-Get-1 Free Refresher and then them the two I wanted. They then asked which one I wanted to be the free one. I said I didn’t care since they’re the same price, but they said they needed to put one in because they weren’t a manager and couldn’t override it with a coupon or something. So I just picked one. I then had to repeat the order again.
Once I pulled up to the window to pay, I handed them my card, they took it for a minute or two, then handed it back and said it wasn’t charged yet because they couldn’t charge it until the order was put into the computer. Why wasn’t it in the computer yet since I ordered at the speaker already?!
At the window, they asked me which Refreshers I wanted, again. I told them the first one and asked for no ice. Then they asked if I wanted no ice in the second one and I said that it was fine normal. They handed me the drinks and neither had ice.
The Watermelon Peach Sparkling Refresher tasted like straight-up sparkling water with zero flavoring added. It is supposed to have sparkling water, green tea, puréed watermelon, puréed peach and ice. It had no ice, even though they had just asked me again.
The Peach Mango Refresher is supposed to have green tea, mango puree, peach puree, water and ice. I asked for no ice for this one and they got it correct. It tasted like it was just really watered down green tea with none of the flavoring.
I was so irritated at the whole experience that I just left. They clearly didn’t know what they were doing, so I didn’t expect it to be any different, had I gone back.
I basically paid $7 for some tonic water and watery tea. Complete waste of money, even for getting one free. I had to mix it with other juice once I got home. Sonic is known in part for their fun drinks. All I wanted was a drink I would enjoy, but no such luck.
