We celebrated our 6th anniversary here, and it was an unforgettable experience. The food was exceptional—every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The service was equally impressive, attentive without being intrusive and truly top-notch from start to finish. The atmosphere made our special evening feel even more memorable. The quality of both the food and service is unmatched, and we can’t wait to return.

Do not go to Mara restaurant on your Birthday!!
I went to Mara for my birthday expecting a special evening, but it ended up being one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had.
The restaurant is beautiful and the atmosphere is nice, but the hospitality was very disappointing. We were told we couldn’t take photos with the flash, which made it difficult to capture memories from a special occasion. While I understand restaurants may have policies, the way it was handled felt disrespectful and unwelcoming.
What surprised me even more was that they didn’t do anything to acknowledge my birthday. There was no birthday dessert, no candle, not even a simple “Happy Birthday.” I wasn’t expecting anything extravagant, but a small gesture would have gone a long way.
If you’re looking for a beautiful place to admire, Mara is worth visiting. But if you’re hoping for a warm, memorable birthday celebration with thoughtful hospitality, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

We chose this restaurant because it's one of the only places open on Sunday nights.
They accommodated our seating request, giving us the best booth in the house facing directly towards the open kitchen, all this even after us changing the time of our reservation by 2 hours. Everybody that worked there was very friendly and accommodating.
Our servers were very knowledgeable about the menu.
We started by ordering two double espressos. They were okay not outstanding.
We followed that with two NA cocktails; one was a smoky Margarita type and another one was something resembling a dry Riesling wine. They were both very delicious and the best NA cocktails we've ever had.
These came served with our bread. The bread is a sesame roll seemingly fresh baked and served warm. The butter and oil they served with it were both a very high quality and served room temperature. This, in my opinion is the correct way to serve a bread & butter.
They have a prix fixe menu but we were not that ambitious or hungry.
We were feeling like seafood, so we ordered the octopus Carpaccio and bluefin tuna Crudo for appetizers followed by a shared plate of the red snapper with crawfish. The octopus was cooked sous vide for 5 hours and plated in a floral arrangement very delicately, after having been thinly sliced. It was topped with marinated tomatoes and the house special mysterious XO sauce which is made out of bacon and multiple herbs and spices.
It was outstanding , I highly recommend it to everybody. The Tuna Crudo was also delicious, and approachable.
The red snapper was the best red snapper that I have had outside of the Gulf Coast. When I tasted that Snapper, which was thick cut, it transported me to the Gulf.
It was pan fried to perfection and plated with a creole inspired crawfish sauce, asparagus and sea beans. The garnish imparts a vert flavor and is definitely pleasing aesthetically without being overwhelming. I could have ordered that again and definitely will if I'm ever back there.
Now let's talk about dessert. Our server Chris explained that the cobbler is "from outer space" and I would say the cobbler is from this planet due to the earthiness of the peaches and browned butter; but the opera cake and cocoa sorbet are definitely Galactic. The toffee cake cobbler was an Indulgence that brought me back to summers growing up in the Midwest, invoking patriotism on my palette. The cocoa sorbet is vegan and insanely delicious, we had to order another bowl of it simply unadorned to indulge in.
If they sold it we would buy it by the gallon
The Pastry Chef definitely knows what she's doing. Everything coming out of pastry was perfect. Honestly everything coming out of the kitchen and bar was perfect. We highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions, to impress guests, or as a treat to yourself.

Great overall experience at Mara. We enjoyed their Summer 2026 Dinner Menu and opted for the Prixe-Fixe selection. To start we had the Watermelon + Tomato Salad and Octopus Carpaccio. We then had the Shrimp Risotto and the Spinach Cavatelli. For our entrees, we enjoyed the American Red Snapper and the Nimam Ranch Striploin. For dessert, we indulged in the Strawberry Shortcake and Warm Toffee Cake. Service was fantastic as well as the overall atmosphere. Heard good things about their brunch and would love to return soon!

This was my second time to Mara and I was so disappointed. We came in for breakfast on Father’s Day and the service was terrible. It took 40 mins to get a latte we ordered, and this was after we asked for it twice…then about an hour to get our food.
We had to ask the host to get us coffee refills…because in the 1.5 hours we were there we saw our server maybe three times total and when she did come to our table she never asked if we needed more coffee/water etc…
For the most part our order was correct minus one plate with an incorrect egg order.
The excuse we got was “we are setting up for the brunch buffet so there is a delay”…if that is the case, then shut down from 9-10 to get your staff in order. Furthermore if you are going to be open, customers orders should take precedence over setting up the buffet.
We did speak to the manager, and she was understanding and apologetic. Overall the food was amazing, but the attentiveness of the staff was lacking this time around and should be addressed.
