Every time we walk through the door, we are made to feel less like guests and more like VIP family members. There is such a genuine warmth and hospitality here that is incredibly rare. The Chef’s Tasting Menu is an absolute must. Every course is thoughtful, beautifully presented, and full of incredible flavor, with each dish feeling like a reflection of the creativity and passion coming from the kitchen. It’s the kind of meal where you find yourself slowing down and really savoring every bite because you don’t want the experience to end. Chef Thony and Chef Carlos are extraordinary—not only incredibly talented chefs, but people who make you feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Mary, the sommelier, is equally wonderful and has such a gift for making the wine experience feel both elevated and completely approachable. Together with the entire team, they create an atmosphere that is warm, welcoming, polished, and incredibly personal. What I love most about Mara is that it manages to feel special and sophisticated without ever feeling stuffy or pretentious. You can tell that everyone on the team truly cares about the food, the experience, and the people sitting at the table. They remember you, they make you feel at home, and they somehow manage to make every visit feel like a special occasion. Mara isn’t just a place to have an amazing dinner—it’s a place where you feel taken care of from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. We always leave already looking forward to our next visit. Chef Thony, Chef Carlos, Mary, and the entire Mara team—thank you for making every experience so memorable. We absolutely cannot wait to return!

  I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I came here expecting to have a nice meal and enjoy my birthday dinner with friends and family, but unfortunately, the service did not meet my expectations. The service was very disappointing. We experienced long waits, and the staff did not seem attentive or concerned about making sure we were having a good experience. For a special occasion like a birthday, I expected much better customer service. I had no idea the restaurant had a no flash policy when it came to taking pictures or videos, so I think that is something you guys should let people know upon them making reservations at your restaurant, especially for a special occasion or just in general. And every time my phone notifications went off, and the male manager saw such a thing, he made sure to stop at our table to make sure we weren’t taking pictures. At one point, we got done eating and paid and made our way over to the bathroom hallway and started to take pictures there. The same male manager followed us to the bathroom area and told us we had to leave because there is a no flash policy on the premise and asked us to leave, and he even went as far as walking behind us to escort us outside of the restaurant like we had committed a crime. This was my first time going to this restaurant where I felt like because of my color, I was treated a way that did not sit well with me. What should have been a special birthday dinner turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and works on improving customer service/experience. Guests deserve to feel welcomed, appreciated, and taken care of when they spend their money at your restaurant.

  I gifted my parents the chef's table reservation for a very special night, celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary and my dad's 50th birthday, and if I could give 10 stars, I would. To say the chef and staff were attentive would be an understatement. From start to finish, every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, and the food and service went far beyond anything we'd hoped for. Chef Thony was warm and welcoming, walking my parents through every dish and the story behind it. The chef's table includes a multi-course menu you can't get anywhere else in the restaurant, with each course designed to complement the next. If you go, get the wine pairing. It really makes the meal. It's not cheap, but for a night like this it was absolutely worth it. My parents spent the rest of the evening telling me about every moment, and I couldn't be happier that I chose this place. It's a night they'll remember for a very long time. Thank you to the entire team for making it so unforgettable.

  Celebrated our anniversary here last Saturday night and had a very special experience! Ambience was gorgeous and service (Sarah) was above and beyond. She not only looked after us well but even our 2 year old toddler by bringing him a small stuffed doggie! Food was very good, hummus was ok, but our tomato salad, crudo, and cod were all excellent. A very special evening ;)
