THURSDAY TIFFIN: I came in for the evening "Tiffin" platter. The dishes served consisted of Plain Dosa (amazingly crisp and large), Vada, Idli, Pongal and Rava Kesari (National Indian Desert). All of the dishes were so delicious and freshly prepared. I loved the side chutneys (especially the Tomato Chutney), and Sambar. Decently priced at USD 12+tax. I also had Ginger Milk Tea and it tasted amazing, I could taste real ginger. All in all, an amazing culinary journey and I was taken back via Memory Lanes to South India! Wish they can include this South Indian Breakfast platter/ Tiffin on their menu everyday!!

I think I might have to come back and try something else because every other review is great but my food was not good. I got butter chicken which I undertrand isn't supposed to be spicy but there was no flavor to it at all. Not even a mild amount of seasoning to make it feel like I'm eating authentic Indian food. plus it wasn't even a curry, it was soup like and very watery, with oil separating from the fat. overall just had no redeeming qualities to it, very bland.

Wait times are way too long, sometimes more than 30 mins. And it is not communicated well during the order time. No pre-order is available. Food quality also fluctuates a lot. The taste and quality of the same dish is very good sometimes and very poor other times.

Food was great - ordered a boneless chicken biryani and samosas - and it is South Indian food so expect a different menu offering since it’s not as common as North Indian food in the cities/area. It was a little confusing for the group as far as its restaurant layout, since right at entry door it looked like it’s a counter to wait for a host to show to tables, but it’s not. To order you’ll have to walk towards the far back/right side, where the menu board is available as well as a counter to order at (fast food style).

I was excited to see this place open near campus, and lunched here during the soft opening when the food was very good (idli, sambhar, chicken 65, and curd rice). I encouraged friends to visit. Today I ate here for a second time and was disappointed that the idlis had clearly been reheated to a rubbery consistency, and the sambhar was watered down. Really hoping it was just an off day, but I would like the proprietors to know that customers do notice shifts in quality. I would honestly rather pay a dollar more than eat rubbery idlis.
