Your AI phone system sucks,I ordered thinking was a real person then said your sandwich will be ready in 30 minutes then at 35 I call back thinking I was going to talk to a real person then said was going to transfer but no one answer then I walk into the restaurant to find out that my sandwich been done while ago and was already cold. Also your AI system said I was going to get a notification when my food was done that I never got. After I cancel my order I got a notification saying that my food was done a hour later, what a joke. I parked on kowalski because there was no parking today as the city of mpls was doing work. Not coming back or ever think about ordering over the phone.

The food here was very satisfying. I ordered the pork rice bowl. The meat was cooked perfectly and the portion was large for what I paid. It was especially nice to have the fried plantain included! The atmosphere was also very welcoming and the staff were happy and helpful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Sometimes it's abute the basics, little things like having a menue that is ledgable and enough light to see it. These guys have some real trouble with that one. The food is meh, nothing special. There is no service to speak of. I would be fine getting my own stuff if the prices were more in line with what you get but they are not.

Stopped in on a weekend afternoon and found an absolute gem! With 2 kids under 3, we didn't feel rushed or like we were a bother to anyone. Instead, we felt right at home. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Our veggie bowl came out at the perfect time, hot, and well-seasoned (kids enjoyed it too!). The oat cafecito was wonderful. We'll definitely be back!

Saturday lunch travels took me to Guava's for the first time. Situated near a huge park Guava's is tucked into a shared space with other businesses. There is no parking lot so you have to park on the street. Some of the neighborhood blocks had signs telling folks that you couldn't park in certain areas but was told by a local they don't enforce the law especially on weekends. Walked in and sat down at a table waiting for my friend. Was there for 15 minutes for him to show up and in the meantime no one came to my table. Later found they don't seat people OR wait on tables. You have to get a menu and go up to place an order yourself. My feeling is for non-regulars this should be posted somewhere so you're not waiting for a server who obviously will not come. Can't assume customers will get it and wind up leaving. I had the Picadillo, which was a stew containing rice, beans, olives and ground beef with a few carrots and potatoes. First this was very tasty, however, very heavy in starch and carbs. So, if you are carb counting this is not for you! For my beverage had a nice cup of cappuccino which complimented the Picadillo. My friend really enjoyed the Masitas del Puerco which contained young pork and plantains. Portions were very generous and I could only finish about 50 percent of my lunch. Total bill with the entrees and drinks came up to $40. Due to the inital lack of communication and service is reason for this rating. Hopefully this business will learn from it and improve. Nice entree to a little bit of very good Cuban food.
