  I have waited to give this place another chance. Living here inver grove heights theres not much for restaurants. So I put an online order in. 3:15 ready by 330. When I arrived I was ignored. 1 order ready for pickup at 335. They asked a lady something and gave her the only bag sitting there. With a brown shake. My peanut butter shake with my bag. She knew the shake was not hers. Took it and dipped. 5 Minutes later I was asked about my order. Nothing ready my order didn't seem to exist. When the receipt was found my order was getting put together. He made my shake. By the time I was leaving it tasted like froth. I review many places and I never ask for anything. At 350 I got my order. Instead of the sandwich that has a huge piece of chicken bigger than the bun I got the little version. To the Employees credit they made me a new one knowing I was not happy. So my sandwich was replaced. I really appreciated that. My 5$ shake was reduced to froth. Now for the food reviews. We all get mistakes at restaurants. So how was the food? The small chicken was overcooked and dry. The sauce didn't help it. Someone who made the sauce went crazy with the honey mustard. Thats all I could taste. The 5$ shake was like someone who whipped the life out of it. I don't like to just have bad things to say. Maybe the replacement sandwich will redeem my order. I can't eat that now. This is not a cheap order. 22$ for one order. So expectations are a little higher than fast food.

  I wish I had a picture to upload, but I’m pregnant and inhaled my sandwich too fast 🤣 leaving work on a Monday I was craving a spicy chicken sandwich and thought I’d just go and home throw something together. Until I remembered there was a new is chicken place in IGH I’d been wanting to try. I ordered just a medium spicy chicken sandwich and mannnn that sandwich was so good. 8 oz of chicken was impressive and the spice and flavor was amazing. The sauce was great and I loved the slaw and the pickles. I’m itching to go back today, but ya know, everything in moderation. Anywho, highly recommend checking Hangry Joe’s out!

  Edit: Ok, this place has redeemed itself. I got a letter from the owner saying that they changed chicken suppliers and they now hand cut everything. So, I tried it again. It was INFINITELY better than what I had before. The tenders were meaty, moist, crispy, and frankly delicious. They probably weighed 10 times more than the previous ones I had (the previous review, the boxes felt empty, and this time it was 2.5lbs of chicken in 12 tenders). I appreciate that a business actually listened to a customer complaint and fixed it, and didn't half ass it. Everyone loved the tenders this time, and both of my kids said they were better than Cane's, and the sauce was better than Cane's as well. The waffle fries were great, I wish they had seasoned sour cream for them, but they are good with the hangry sauce or whatever it's called and I whipped up some seasoned sour cream anyway since we ate it at home. Overall, we'll keep coming here if it's consistently as good as what we had tonight. I am leaving the original review below to show how much they improved. Original review: The chicken tenders have almost no meat and are all breading. My wife brought home 2 boxes of tenders (6 in each box), and they literally felt empty because they were so light. Barely any chicken in them, and tons of thick greasy breading. $32 for that. Think about that... Almost $3 per tender, with less meat than a mcnugget in each one (no exaggeration). Complete ripoff. Definitely will not be back. A chicken tender from Cane's has 10+ times the amount of meat in it. If they gave as much meat as Cane's or any other place and kept the pricing the same based on the amount of chicken, it would be $400 to get the same amount of food as elsewhere. This place sucks.
