- DODashy OwO2 days ago1.0Terrible customer service experience at this Caribou Coffee in the MOA. We arrived around 8:30 PM, even though the location was supposed to close at 9:00 PM. One of the employees was already mopping, and when I approached her politely to ask if they were still open because she had been ignoring me, she said yes, rolled her eyes at me, and walked away. When I went to place my order with another employee, she was also sighing and had an extremely unpleasant attitude. Despite how uncomfortable the interaction was, I still left a tip because I understand they were getting close to closing. Honestly, I regret it. After placing my order, I politely asked if I could modify something in one of the drinks since they had not even started making it yet. Instead of simply explaining whether it was possible, the employee sighed, rolled her eyes, and refused. What made the experience even worse was that, shortly after we arrived, another group of customers came in and they were actually refused service—even though it was still before 9:00 PM. The drinks took less than five minutes to make, so I genuinely do not understand the attitude or why customers were being treated like an inconvenience simply for coming in before closing time. This was especially disappointing because I was there with my family, who had traveled from very far away to visit me. What should have been a simple and pleasant stop turned into an uncomfortable experience because of the employees' attitudes. I have personally worked in customer service for many years, and I would never have treated customers this way, regardless of how close it was to closing. We were polite and respectful throughout the entire interaction, and we expected the same in return. I understand employees want to go home on time. However, if the posted closing time is 9:00 PM, customers arriving at 8:30 PM should not be made to feel unwelcome or treated with disrespect. If the store intends to stop serving customers earlier, the hours should reflect that. Very disappointing experience. I will think twice before coming back to this location.
