- MAMr. AllenJul 21, 20261.0I only go here if I have enough points for the free bagel and cream cheese, and I'm seriously considering just waiting until I'm not in Bemidji next time, because it's the only one in Bemidji that has bagels at all apparently and my experiences there have been mainly bad. I was previously in a job I couldn't leave until at least noon, and my shift started before the opening time of any coffee shops. So I could only get there by like 1 at the earliest. Every single time I went there for that purpose, I had selected sliced and toasted in the app and every single time, they refused to do it and gave me an unsliced and untoasted bagel that feels a weird sticky texture and is difficult to neatly cut even with the plastic knife they can give me. Since my hours have changed, I have been able to get it made correctly here in the AM. This should not be variable between shifts though, and they should care about that a lot more as it is not offered at any of the other Caribous around here. The responses I have gotten to trying to give this complaint politely to the afternoon shift people have been either them just straight up ignoring me or looking at me like I'm the weird one for wanting my order made the way it was ordered. One time one of them tried to make it about them supposedly not being allowed to use the machine to cut it after noon... This does not add up as I have been able to do it at all times of the business hours at locations in the cities. I fully believe that person was lying to me. And they don't even have halfway good seating by my standards. Chain note: Like other large coffee chains, Caribou Coffee has been criticized over the coffee industry's dependence on low-paid growers, environmental impacts from coffee production, and the significant waste generated by disposable cups, lids, and other single-use packaging. The company has also faced the broader labor concerns common throughout the food service industry, including low wages and inconsistent scheduling. These issues reflect the chain and its industry, not the performance of any individual café. I generally dislike chains, but sometimes visit them anyway for various reasons.

I came in today (June 2026) and to my pleasant surprise Belle was still working here with her cheerful personality and professional ism. I was buying coffee beans for my son and she asked me, "decaffeinated?". Nope!!! I grabbed the wrong bag. That would have been a wasted purchase Lol. Her co-worker Sam helped prepare our drinks and being an ice blended concoction were made perfectly as usual. To the owners, Belle is a keeper and an excellent ambassador for your establishment. To the future customers, this location (in Bemidji Minnesota) stop in and enjoy a drink that is waaaay better than the Seattle StarB's and a way better value and price point for coffee beans and coffee inspired drinks.
