What a wonderful historical Dairy Queen location! The girls who run the store are exceptional at their jobs, extremely nice, and my blizzard are always ready in a blink of an eye… SERIOUSLY! I’ve been coming to this location for years and they’ve always made mine and my family’s treats always right. Definitely the best Dairy Queen in Michigan ♥️♥️♥️

Incompetent staff, who over step their boundaries. Tried to order me to "put my cigarette out". Got to bad mouthing behind the glass after I declined to dine there. Threatened to call the police when I asked to repeat themselves directly to me instead of behind a closed window, maybe cause I matched the same negative energy she spewed out her mouth she felt she needed the police. No harm was done to her, but she threatened me with the police. For all you people who think like that bare in mind, in Michigan false 911 calls are illegal. Use the mind that's in your brain, do customer service respectfully or find another profession.

There’s something wonderfully nostalgic about stopping for ice cream in a small American town — and this little Dairy Queen corner in Ypsilanti captures that feeling perfectly.
On a warm afternoon, I decided to try the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard because pumpkin pie is such a classic part of American culture and tradition. It honestly felt like autumn in a cup — creamy, comforting, and full of soft pumpkin pie flavor with little pie pieces throughout. Sitting outside with the Blizzard in hand, enjoying the quiet scenic surroundings, made the experience even better. What makes this location special is not just the dessert, but the atmosphere around it. The corner ice cream parlor feels welcoming and connected to the historical character of the town. Whether you stop for a Blizzard, smoothie, or soft serve on a hot day, it’s the kind of place where you can slow down and simply enjoy the moment.
One of the most impressive touches was the free little library attached to the shop — such a thoughtful addition that adds warmth and community spirit. It reflects something deeply American: simple pleasures, local charm, and spaces where people gather, relax, and share stories.
Located in Ypsilanti on the route toward the Ypsilanti Automotive Heritage Museum, it also makes for a lovely scenic stop during a walk around town. A beautiful little memory of Michigan life.

So this DQ is amazing!! I may be wrong but i’m pretty sure they have ALL DQ products regardless if they’re seasonal. I haven’t seen the confetti dip in forever and they had it! Their menu also says they have the confetti cake blizzard and the Super man one! I have never seen such an extensive DQ menu. Staff was very kind as well.
