I am writing this review as a SERIOIS public health warning to the Woodhaven community. DO NOT let the newer building next to Buffalo Wild Wings fool you; the systemic, hazardous kitchen practices from their old location have directly carried over. The Medical Reality: A few years ago, I ate chicken quesadillas at this restaurant. I was the only one in my group who ate the chicken. By the next morning, I was hit with severe, intractable vomiting so violent that I could not even hold down a single teaspoon of water. I ended up in Concentra urgent care, was offered an ambulance given the severity and was subsequently admitted to Henry Ford Hospital Brownstown, where I required IV anti-nausea medications and intravenous fluids to recover from dangerous dehydration. Given the poultry source, the sudden timeline, and the severity, it pointed directly to a severe foodborne illness like Salmonella. The Documented Proof: I recently dug into the official Wayne county health inspection records for this business, and what is happening behind closed doors is absolutely stomach-turning. Among their multiple, repeated violations, inspectors documented: Gross Cross-Contamination: An employee was caught dipping their bare hand into a plastic pitcher of water, dribbling it onto their other hand to "rinse" them, and immediately continuing with food preparation without actually washing their hands. This is exactly how dangerous bacteria spreads from raw food to your plate. Severe Chemical Hazard: Multiple dichlorvos pest strips were found hanging underneath the bar area. These strips emit continuous chemical vapors meant to kill bugs and are illegal to use around open food and drink because they contaminate the air and surfaces humans consume. Mold Contamination: The interior of the ice machine was found to be actively moldy, meaning every drink served with ice is a contamination risk. Chronic Negligence: The county flagged several of these critical health hazards as repeat violations, proving that management is fully aware of these issues but actively chooses not to fix them. As someone who has gone here as a kid from the old location to the new location, I have to say it is extremely unsettling to discover all of this. Not only have I experienced food poisoning here, several others have as well. Please do what you can to spread the word and prevent this from occurring again. We do not support business's that run things on their own terms, find somewhere better to go and save yourself the emergency room trip.
