I was so excited to see this Panera open, as it is the closest one to me. I know the brand has changed over the years, but this is the most disappointing location I have visited. It feels like you’re sitting in a McDonalds. Panera used to be somewhere people gathered to spend quality time together to eat and work, but clearly the company doesn’t care to provide that anymore :(
This is for ,Sarah the first review on here.
I understand being frustrated by a long wait, but I think it’s also important to give a brand-new location a little time to get into a rhythm. Opening a new restaurant comes with a lot of moving parts, and it takes time for a new staff to learn the flow and work out the kinks.
Also, you have no idea why the manager was on her phone. To automatically assume she was on a personal call and then criticize her for it is a little ridiculous. There could have been any number of reasons she was using her phone for work.
And respectfully, you really shouldn’t speak for other customers. Your son had an experience, and the couple in front of him had an experience, but that doesn't mean everyone feels the same way or that the restaurant is going to fail. If you had a bad experience, that’s completely fair to share, but let your experience speak for itself.
Yes, running out of cups and lids and having customers wait too long are things they need to improve. But they literally just opened. Give them a chance to work out the kinks before deciding they “won’t be in business much longer.

I know this store just opened and it takes a moment to work out the snags, but their service absolutely leaves something to be desired. The shift manager (?) or whoever was taking in-store orders was on her cell phone standing by the kitchen, and I stood there and stood there and finally a staff person in the kitchen told her that there was someone at the register, and it still took her some time to make her way to the register. Today, my son went to this same location and an older couple in front of him had to wait almost 10 min to get their order taken. Yesterday they ran out of large lids and today they ran out of large cups. In the grand scheme of life these are not huge issues, but if this Panera doesn’t get it together it won’t be in business much longer.
The ladies working the register today were very nice and understanding! I did not catch her name, but she was a very nice lady with dark skin 10/10 service! I have poor eyesight so it was difficult to see the menu posters up on the wall, so I was reccomended to use the kiosks for the menu and then I could come back and pay with cash at the counter. I have a sensitivity to spice, so they let me try a small sample of the barbeque sauce that they use for the smokehouse barbeque chicken sandwich. Ordered mine without onions, and got a chicken soup - it's delicious! I appreciate knowing the soda machine is clean and the drinks are fresh, something most fast food places don't keep up with super well. I hope they continue to keep up the good service and clean, friendly environment! My brother and I may become regulars there when we've got the extra money for it.

I didn’t realize today was the grand opening when I drove up to pick up my mobile order. The parking lot was very crowded, but I’m glad I decided to come this morning! They were giving out a free cookie and Panera Bread coasters, which was a nice surprise. My food was good, and I especially loved the chocolate chip muffie. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I did have to wait a little while in the drive-thru, but I completely understand with it being opening day. I’ll definitely be back!
