Ok. I rarely leave bad reviews, but I'd like to leave a comment that can hopefully be constructive. I have been going to this location a lot recently, and I slowly have been getting Taco Bell less and less because it has not been hitting the same. My last two visits, I think I really realized what the problem was and why I haven't been enjoying it as much.
I have NEVER had ANY problem with the customer service. Always kind, good at their job, etc.
However, my one critique is that THE TORTILLAS ARE ALWAYS DRY! And not just tortillas, but the chalupas as well. I always get the Supreme Luxe Box because I love the chalupa and the 5 layer burrito. Everytime, those two items have been lacking. The last time I ordered, I ESPECIALLY noticed that the shell of the chalupa was EXTREMELY crunchy. Like crumbling everywhere. And on top of that, the 5 layer burritos seemed to be way off in terms of the proportions. A lot of beans and nothing else.
Well this time, I really think I figured it out. Again, hard chalupa, but this time, the 5 layer was so dry and folded in such a way that it was cracking at every fold. I have a sneaking suspicion that the tortillas are just getting dry, sitting out to long, and in turn, they aren't flexible enough to roll the burritos well. I feel like the cooks are maybe getting accustomed to the dry tortillas and filling the burritos less, because it would be too difficult to fold without the elasticity of a fresh tortilla.
Please, fix the tortillas and the chalupas. I dont want to drive to 23 and Van Dyke. 26 gives me a perfect line home. Please just make my Taco Bell enjoyable again. No more dry tortillas. And more beef and cheese in the 5 layer burrito.
