  Stopped into Great Dane Pub this evening to grab dinner before a meeting. It was my first time there & I was highly impressed. Food was outstanding, service was very good & the atmosphere was very pleasant. I had their fish & chips, plus french fries. The batter on the fish was amazing & the fries (which I’m not a big frie guy) were terrific. I highly recommend Great Dane Pub!!

  They gave me some old french union soup, not warm ,the cheese wasnt even melted, and the bread inside was chewy. I then ordered some spinach and some cabbage. The cabbage was charred and the spinach has zero seasoning. Then I asked for some apple pie. lol the waitress told me:" we don't have apple pie". I know damn well I read it on the menu. I said "can you get me a menus please". Instead of doing so, I watched her go and read the menu only to come and tell me she was wrong. As far as the waitress... she could've been new no no worries but, the food??? like... how can you mess up cabbage and spinach and why give someone old soup, I knew it came out way too fast to be right. One and done for me.

  Went there tonight and was helped by Gabby. She looked newer because I’ve never seen her work there before but let me say, absolute unit. For being someone so new, she really has it down. I love seeing competence and good service from someone who clearly knows what she is doing. To the person who reads these reviews, please make sure that Gabby, and her supervisors, know how much I appreciated her service tonight. Will be coming back with more freind s :)

  Made a reservation for my birthday. I had been here twice before and it was fine..a great option for my parents who are not super adventurous with food. I had the steak pie and was extremely disappointed. I am not exaggerating, there was one single small piece of steak, a big chunk of carrot, and one potato. One piece of steak, ONE. In a supposedly classic British *steak* pie. I don’t expect perfection but for the price of meals at restaurants these days, this is just unacceptable. The short rib was a very small portion, very greasy/oil, the cabbage was literally just charred on the grill, no oil/fat, no seasoning. The drinks took a very long time to come, the food took very long to come, (with not many patrons at all). Not at all expecting to be sang at by any means but there was also no recognition of the occasion which is asked when making a reservation. It’s sad to see how newer restaurants tend to start off so well and then decline quickly once the shine wears off.

  Super slow server. We asked for the bill and boxes 3 times and he didn’t grab them then he grabbed my bill finally. The butter chicken pizza was the most disappointing thing. The dough was thin and mushy, barely any sauce and had like an inch layer of rubber cheese on it. they did take it off my bill begrudgingly. I barely had one slice but I felt judged for asking for it to be off my bill. They were interrogating me about why I didn’t like it and told me “this is the first time anyone has complained about the cheese” in such a rude manner! Also they probably checked on us like 2 times max throughout out entire time there I just felt like they forgot we even existed. We got our appetizer and drinks after 30 minutes and then never saw the waiter till he came back to take our dinner order 35-40 minutes later. He had maybe 3 small tables and I feel like he treated them better because he thought they would bring more money. We spent a lot even without the gross pizza on the bill. If you want to spend 3 hours here for bad service and mediocre food- try it out. *in response to the owner who responded: We were not there for 3 hours by choice. We waited at least 20 minutes for our drinks and an additional 45 minutes for our food… and when we got second drinks…. Another 20 minutes it took. I know you say it was busy, but I saw a lot of open tables so I don’t find that to be true- though… maybe that is busy for you… so fair enough. As far as interrogation… there were three people at our table asking why we didn’t like the pizza and wanting answers. My friend came back from the bathroom and when she asked to sit down( because you were blocking us in) the waitress said “sorry just trying to listen in”… very professional. I notice how your response was purely defensive and if that is how you go about your business, it’s good for everyone to see I guess. Keep striving for more.
